Just because inferior build exist does not mean Mixed Augments become viable again. The only 2 classes those Capsules had a purpose on are Bouncer and Braver and they dont need them anymore. Also Techter/Hunter is used for being more tanky not for actually using Hunters attacks. I never saw a Techter do that. Then again i only see Techters in serious content like Purples and no one is gonna Meme around in there.
But yeah if you really wanna turn this into an argument about "fun and meme" builds then go on ill listen.
Where is it vague ? as i explained to Mistfox just now all class combinations that make good use out of those Augments wont need them anymore. All other class combinations are just for giggles.
And just to check out your reading comprehension, you did notice that the text says that the values of the 2 are ADDED together and applied? Of course it could be a translation error but if it is true then it gives multi-potency augments even more power since the 2 potencies are then added together. The fact that you missed the words "added" shows that you are already predisposed to read the news negatively and carelessly and ignore hints to things that you don't already want to believe. I suspect translation error but the fact that you ignored the possibility of the 2 potencies being added together and straight out called it useless shows that you are incredibly careless.
First of all its nice that even you seem to notice a translation error. Gratulation to that. Would make no sense taking the "higher value" when both are "added together" no ? So no i didnt miss the word added unlike you my reading comprehension spoted the error right away. Its simple math really because there is no higher value when you add both together.And as said before it would make no sense taking the higher value after you added both together why would you even add it up then ?
And as i said before if you wanna argue about "fun giggles and meme" combinations i am listening. Those Augments were meant for those Hybrit classes in the first place aka Braver and Bouncer (maybe later Gunblade). So yes i am taking this to one small fragment of the game because thats what those Augment were created for. Hell if i say Hunter on full Tec potency is inferior you say :" No thats your bias" bla bla.
Why would i do that its all written there in Keroppis video. Its not like he wrote the patch notes ya know.
Even with that skill, it doesn't fix that players who play off-class combinations and those who want to be flexible with their class options will not be able to take advantage of these skills so a Ranger/Fighter will not be able take advantage of those skills. Similarly, a person who is going around between multiple different classes will not be able to take advantage of a niche skill that only two classes currently have.
But if I could be honest about it these are skills that "should have" been taken into account in the very beginning because the Braver and Bouncer's hybrid nature never played nicely with how New Genesis was laid out to begin with. Their inclusion now is nice - but it already enters a sea of Sega's decisions that already pushed players who really wanted to be a hybrid into a grind that no one else really needed to aim for. As it is, I imagine those multi-type ability capsules will be very nice for people who want perfected sets for passing around between classes and characters and are now far less important than ever for people who are already settled with their class choices.
This is exactly why i said Multi Augment will be useless once the patch hits. As i said before those Capsules were meant for those two classes because people complained that building multi Potency is expensive aswell as hard. After that they added in those capsules. They were never meant for fun or meme builds in the first place.
I thing that makes them even more flexable then before. Take Bouncer/Fighter for example. Now you can go full physical damage and your Tec based attacks will still deal full damage. This pretty much turns the so called "Kung Fu Meme build" into a real build.
Another creat thing is that you also need less Units.You can for example use full Mel Potency Units on Braver,Bouncer now and with every combination that allows melee potency without losing anything. Maybe i use Daggers as my "off-hand" now with Bow.
The problem is which many people including Mistfox dont realize is that NGS was never meant to be flexible. The class system was very limiting from the get go and it is till today. Sega is slowly adding stuff in fixing that however that took ALOT of complaining from the playerbase first. Otherwise Sega wouldnt even fix that. So a shout out to all complainers here :" Thank you ! You made this desperately needed change possible !" At least the two classes that need multi potency escaped the band aid of multi potency Capsules now. And for people that wanna run fun and or meme build the prices of those capsules will fall. So its not like those people won benefit from it.
The next thing that needs to be fixed is "Main Class Only" bs. Because THAT is whats really limiting class combinations.
More like Hunter/Gunner or Waker/Ranger or Fighter/Ranger (odd I know but surprise blight round followed by Fighter beatdown can give some interesting dividends). There are a lot of other builds that can use multi-potency augments, Redgrave is just being a Chicken Little as usual.
No you just dont wanna accept i am right. I mean like Vanilla i said they shoud have added the skill from the beginning but you never agreed. Once someone who is not me said it you agreed. Face it its obvious you just wanna argue with me at this point.
Why ?
Force does not scale with Mel or Range so you would need to go mixed potency again for a half assed build. Not viable in endgame content at all and just hindering other players because youre weak. Same goes for BO/GU. Gunner does not scale with Tec or Melee resulting in the same problem.
It kinda amzes me tho. There have been many people complaining about "carrying" others because they are weak but at the same time people wanna defend the very builds that are weak and tell me they are not useless. That does not fit together.
Does not work that way.
The passive states that it takes the higher of two values and uses it for both weapons. If we take Braver as example those ptencys will be Mel and Ra. Even if you switch into Rod/Talis your Tec wont get any bonus from the Braver main class passive because Tec is not being calculated at all. Same goes for Bouncer where Tec and Mel are being calculated and Ra is left out.
You really need to learn that class combinations because of "passives" are different from class combinations because of "PAs". If you use this 3 combinations and honestly use them as "meme builds" then youre one of those people that hinder other players in endgame content and i can understand their complain. A Hunter without the relevant Gunner passives goes brrrr in purple ? I can heat the facepalm of the other 3 people already. x,D
