This game doesn't have much people active. If you want to have people, you'll probably need to huddle together for warmth on ship 2 or 1.
For reference, a successful MMO such as Final Fantasy XIV has an average of 23,000 players on Steam alone over the last thirty days. PSO2 combined with NGS player count on steam alone averages 3,000 players over the last thirty days.
This game's playerbase is just a few die hards such as yourself clinging to what can barely be called a game.
Just a cashgrab.
You can enjoy the game till level 60 then leave for 4 or 6 months for the next major update then come back only to leave after playing for maybe 3 days to never come back for another 4 to 6 months again.
Gameplay is short, gameplay is boring but somehow addicting, story is hardly there, the world is empty, and nothing left to do.
No endgame in sight.
When i was questing i found another player in the field telling me to create a character in ship 1 because there's more people, but i already accepted rewards that i won't get if i create another character, and i don't want to delete mine or pay to move, so i'm fine here for now
But it seems (according to the shills) that the game has a population of 5000 / 10 000 players (including those on xbox) lmao.
Dead game.
Ohm....well......thats NGS in a nutshell.
NGS isn't a gem, it's unrewarding junk that fails to make you feel like you accomplished something.
I'm sure you people just make things up in your heads. How would it be hard to "survive" on ship 4 if they didn't talk much? You don't need to say a word in this game on any ship and you will get along fine.
This whole "this ship is different because x reason" is just cringe at this point. The ships are all the same, there is no real difference other than the amount of players on the ship. Players just like to pretend in their heads that they are different because they are cringe.
less than 3k players spread among 4 servers. Yeah thats gonna be very dead. PoE dev did an interview where he said for small niche games like PoE you can survive with 10k players. Which is about 7k higher than what SEGA gets for their big mmo that they spent a ton of money on marketing before its launch.
Uh steamcharts indicate you are telling some not true stuff there buddy. https://steamcharts.com/app/1056640 Game was only ever above 10k on the first month it launched. Second it was below 8k. please dont lie when its so easy to look up
We now have a game that wasn't rolled out in global with years worth of content. And also, I really don't understand what the fixation on game population is. 3,000 is more than enough at least on ship 1/2. Could be better I suppose (don't forget its on Xbox aswell so maybe add in another thousand or two).
I talk to people plenty, but you missed the point of my post. My point was that you pretend that you need to be a certain way on ship 4 to "survive" on it, but you don't. You can be exactly the same on every ship and your experience will be exactly the same, because every ship is exactly the same.
I have been on all 4 ships at various points in both base and NGS life and I have noticed zero difference other than player population and market prices.
It always makes me laugh when people pretend that being on a different ship is like moving to a different country and culture.
