No.

Monster Hunter and Vindictus get close to be what base PSO2 is where you go from the start of a dungeon to the end and face a Boss. So yeah base PSO2 could be for you however keep in mind its on life support.

NGS ? Burn it with fire, wait until completely burnt and then extinquish the flames pissing on it. NGS is pretty much what Eidolon is in Warframe but in Warframe its not a standalone game.

No. It's more like BDO where you run around in circles with your brain off and AoE enemies, farming for RNG drop gear so that you can do the same but slightly faster.

I guess even that's not fair since at least in BDO you can have a unexpected encounter of a player trying to kill you.

At whole, this game is more if you like playing mobile games where you login to do dailies and gamble money for cosmetic items to show off your account.

The gameplay is VERY diffrent between those games, so the qeustion is like asking "Will I like apples if I like annanas?".
The answer is in both cases is a very subjective, perhaps.

The gameplay of NGS is actually fun.

As someone who has almost 2k hours in World and 160 in Rise, has played Distiny 2 and has tested Vindictus I say, nah.

NGS is a waste of time at the moment

if you love self-improvement
you should try ngs and do the gameplay intensely
not the pay-to-win aspect

To be honest NGS is even more casual then base PSO2.
Mastering Braver in base PSO2 was far harder for me then Mastering Fighter who is pretty much the new old Braver if you use counter gameplay.

All classes i played in NGS felt like a light version of the originals. I really dont see all those improved classes everyone is talking about. Battles are smoother now i give NGS that but besides that combat got worse.

You might like the base game if you play Destiny 2 for its story.

Pretty hilarious to see people still making class comparisons between:

1. Two different games. (Same franchise or not)
2. Two different games where one of them has all classes and the maximum level (100), with the other not having all of the classes, and the level cap being nowhere near what it is in the base game (40? or 45 currently).

Without the rest of the skill trees available, comparing classes between NGS and base as a point of negativity is simply ignorant. Of course they don't play the same.. we've all known this since BEFORE the beta.

There is no "pay-to-win" aspect in this game. Paying for Premium nets you nothing that a free player can't get. Furthermore, the benefits of Premium are laughable, and negligible, to someone already at the level cap with their desired classes.

The whole "wahhh market access wahhh" argument is null and void now that you have the free pass included in Mission Pass rewards.

Literally the only thing in this game you can hope to gain via spending money is cosmetics.. which you don't even HAVE to spend money to get.

"but but.. muh limited market access and low meseta.."

Again, nothing is "won" by people who buy fashion wish cash. You're just being whiny because you don't have said items and need to grind meseta to get them.

Make intelligent decisions when using your Market Pass, or save them until you have something worth selling.

Even though base PSO2 had some VERY P2W-esque aspects to it, such as the Augment Insurance Tickets, that was more a predatory move on Sega's part rather than being P2W, since you could theoretically achieve the same thing without said tickets.. though at a massive risk.

The entire augmenting system in PSO2 was just.. so bad in almost every aspect, yet everyone wants to herald it as the best thing ever.. despite the abysmally low chances of you succeeding a high-tier augment without the tickets that you couldn't get without.. spending real money.

Granted, I haven't played the game since before the Dark Falz UQ, so it's entirely possible Sega has added those same aspects to the NGS Scratches as well. It wouldn't surprise me in the least given what's happened with the game thus far.

Pretending that comparing the two similar games is hilarious is in itself hilarious. "dont compare these two things" is just code for "Stop pointing out how bad this game is by comparing it to other games"
