SB on other hand have the Surefire (R) ring which enable you to perform an overcharged Connect which transform into a Full Connect, allowing you to execute it with the cost of half gear
As for weapons:
DS: steady, consistency damage, easiest to play out of 3, mostly reply on counter attacks
SB: fast hitting with highest potential damage out of 3 via Connect attacks, probably hardest of the 3 but not that hard, it's just a matter of manage all attacks with weapon action (blocking) to avoid attacks, additional accompany with a high risk high reward because of Connect attacks make you stationary for a moment
So pick you playstyle to be honest
thank you. Know I know which rings I gonna pick.
Do you have a idea which weapon you can recommend me? I still have the free 15* gunblades from the last two campaigns and Im not sure which weapon I should exchange for ds or sb
I would recommend having the Atomizer Lovers (L) and Mate Maniacs (L) rings because the Etoile is stuck to largely healing items to heal and cure themselves and these rings make healing trivial as a result due to the increased speed, potency, and safety of using these.
For the Right rings I would personally use something like Critical Strike (R) (the compound version of the ring or the Melee version) so you can try to maximize your critical rate but would otherwise use something like the Valor Emblem if you cannot create a Critical Strike ring for whatever reason. You can potentially opt out of these and just use something like Perfectionist (R) but that will involve having high health and not taking many hits in order to utilize it well.
In terms of equipment, I do not recall the Double Saber having any special requirements or builds so any fifteen-star Double Saber should really work out for you (using the Millionaire/Croesus as an example for something you can just pick up and use). If you have it I heavily recommend getting the S5 installed on a Rivalrate weapon (and future weapons like the Cras weapons will also have this slot) that is specific towards the Soaring Blades. This is called "S5: Lightning Pursuit" which carries the Jupiter Tullus' potential of shooting lightning as you use your photon arts. This is one of the most popular uses for the Rivalrate S5 as this is a utility that boosts your damage and allows you to shred bosses relatively quickly. Similarly if you use a Wand, the Rivalrate S5 for them (S5: Steadfast Harpoon) imitates the Lavis Cannon's third-attack shooting a wave that pierces enemies and can restore your photon points quickly. However, without the Atlas EX S4 (S4: Wand Impact) you will be missing most of the speed and hitstun removal that comes with the Lavis Cannon. However, the Lavis Cannon is still faster than these weapons but it unfortunately does not hold up when you compare it to the Rivalrate weapons imitating and copying their potentials.
If you have not gotten these yet I would recommend completing five Recommended Quests to get the present boxes so you can get a free Atlas EX, Trailblazer, and Rivalrate weapon. When you are affixing these I heavily recommend asking for help, looking up guides, and having a formula (and goal in mind) for what you want because this will get very expensive and can cause headaches if you try to gamble the affixing mechanics especially if it results in destroying the effectiveness of your weapons.
DS: slow and countering
SB: fast and equipped with a nuke
They share the same feature that is ability to attack nonstop due to it weapon action skill
I use both and switch from time to time so can't really recommend just one
Graceful Might
Astral Soul
Doom Break II
Varuna Glare
Phrase Weak/Decay
Might VI
Im still not sure which s abilities I should choice.
What do you guys think about it?
Double Saber or Dual Blades/Soaring Blades?
If it is the Soaring Blades then for certain you will want S5: Lightning Pursuit for added damage. However, I do not recall the Double Saber needing anything specific so you can run with the S5 from the Gunslash (S5: Adept Will) if you do not have any other options.
Thankfully due to how SSA's work you can install any two that are compatible (S4 and S5) and then swap them out later when you want after you are completely finished with affixing.
