If you are asking about the release of that class they are coming with the end of Episode 6 (though I do not know if the "Epilogue" is attached in this upcoming update) as well as the Level 100 cap alongside some other nifty catch-up quests for getting older materials in an easy way (like the new Extreme Quest).
If you are asking about what the Luster is, imagine a class with the speed and versatility of the Hero but not in a Devil May Cry-style combat system but rather more like a Platinum Games-inspired combat system. The Luster is chock-full of overloaded game mechanics so your buttons have multiple uses (double-tapping dodge allows you to slide which allows you to teleport-attack enemies or reposition yourself, you have variations of photon arts depending on when you are standing or moving, you have the ability to lift yourself into the air by jumping after an attack and can auto-cast either Zanverse or Megiverse by holidng the jump button afterwards, and you also have the ability to perform ground-slams while you're in the air). The Luster is a very high-speed class that utilizes the Gunslash/Gunblade and has three distinct styles depending on the element of your Gunslash. Each style plays similarly and identically for the most part but specializes in very different goals (Fomel excels in using Enhance Arts and staying aggressive on bosses, Zandi is veryagile and enhances Move Arts while tackling groups of enemies, and Baran adds guard points to your attacks so you can safely keep your distance and have longer reach with all of your attacks).
Also to add, if high-speed action is not your cup of tea or if you want to be a Luster and cannot keep track of the photon arts you are using, they have an optional "Smart PA" you can add to your main palette that will automatically pick a photon art and its variant depending on your situation and context. This does not "play" the game for you as you still have to dodge and attack normally on your own as this is essentially an easy-attack button that does not manage your resources for you.
And another thing to add as well is that if you are interested in the Luster as a subclass, it "normalizes" Gunslash damage across all main classes so you can viably use the Gunslash for the most part but there are some combinations where it is questionable (such as Force/Luster and Summoner/Luster who have absolutely no need for a Gunslash for the most part or the Gunner/Luster who is stronger with just the Twin Machineguns alone). If you use it on a class combination and are capable of handling the combination, you can negate cooldowns altogether (Bouncer/Luster with infinite Photon Blades Fever, effectively).

There is no "tutorial" for the Luster so players had to experiment and refer to official Sega materials to learn the class unlike every other class and mechanic in the game.
