I tried the tweaker, it installed the patches but the same problem occurred after.
It seems the problem is the connection: the game doesn't recognize my internet. I just looked the "Environment Options" and found a "Test Connection" button on the Feature tab. When i run this test, it says "An error ocurred during the connection test. Please check your connection settings again. [ErrorCode: 12002]"
Now I have this error to work upon, at least... Anyone know how to fix it?
You should never tell people to turn off their AV or any other security measures.
Just go into your firewall settings and make an exception for the entire PSO2 installation folder.
It will prevent your AV/FW from locking it down and preventing anything from running in said folder.
While you're at it, enter your installation folder and locate the GameGuard folder and the GameGuard exe file, right click, go to compatibility and pick 'run as administrator' then apply and exit properties.
Restart your PC and try running the game.
It's working now, thanks for everyone that tried to help!
I've never had to do that myself. Shouldn't even have to. Disabling IPV6 can cause a lot of issues for other games and applications.
What you can do is use Prefer IPV4 over IPV6 in prefix policies instead.
AV is there to make sure you don't get viruses onto your PC, and to clean up any mess made by the user in case they do get onto your PC, because in 99% of the cases, it's down to the user being uneducated or ignorant.
Ohhh look guys, we've got a tough guy here!
Look, son, i couldn't care less if you were freaking YMCA or Houdini, so quit boasting yourself. You're nothing but a self-proclaimed 'elite'.
Do you even know what MPCR means?
See, the thing is, 99% of PC users aren't power users. They're casual gamers and hobbyists who enjoy spending time on their computer to escape the stress of real life etc.
When it comes to AV, it is designed for the 99% not the 1% who get off on telling everyone else, how to use their computers e.g turning off their security measures.
I know, a lot of the time you have no other choice but it should be a last resort, not the first option you go for.
When it comes to GameGuard and other Asian Anti-cheat software, the only thing you need to do, is to exclude the entire game folder.
I had issues getting this game to launch because of GameGuard myself, but as i've got experience with these Asian anti-cheats, i just put the entire game folder on the exclusion list and got the game running.
Adding your game folder to the Exclusion list should be the first thing you try, not turning off your security measures.
This GG is a very bad programm.
People are 100% right and complain about it.
