Why will you stick with PSO2 over New World and Lost Ark?
Just a friendly conversation topic. With New World and Lost Ark launching soon. Why will you stick with PSO2 NGS Or will you play both? Maybe you will leave NGS for one of the other two?

Let’s discuss

New world is interesting as a pvp game but its too niche and going to fail since believe it or not casual gamers are in huge numbers than hardcore players like 93% casual 7% hardcore.

It will fail and pvp will do harm than good as it drives players away because they were too slow to join in the marathon of greatness only to get dunked on by old players.

It'll die real fast.
Except they're catering to PVE players. PVP is something you toggle in town, and only in town. If you're a crafter or PVE player, you have 100% free reign over what you do, and no pvp player can ruin your day.

Let's be real, most of the people that flag up for PVP in games like this don't actually fight people at their same level, they're just looking to abuse newbies or people who are just doing their own thing. If you toss those people in with the real pvp players, they get absolutely destroyed.

Sorry I failed to mention that I was talking about the 1st beta where PvP is always enabled till they changed it to PvE when its not working out as players get turned away from it.

Its now doing better as PvE but not a game id play since it is seemingly generic...

Hmmm i'm looking forward into Blue Protocol. Also D2R will consume some of my free time. Plus FFVII remaster for PC. Never played any FF game and alot of people told me to check this out.

To add to this, this was how Phantasy Star Online 2 co-existed with Final Fantasy XIV on the Japanese side. Despite them being very different games, Phantasy Star Online 2 ultimately isn't "that" demanding if you wanted to play casually (and it really wasn't until about the end of Episodes 5 and around Episode 6 when the game suddenly started demanding more out of the players in terms of skill and time investments as everything else beforehand was typically very random). As much as people want to pick and choose fights where they want to put games on top as superior to one another, I really just see these all as things people want to spend their time with and have no particular issues if someone just doesn't like how Phantasy Star Online 2 is and wants to play something more catered to their tastes instead.

I happen to play because this is the closest thing I have to Dragon's Dogma Online in terms of a player-driven action game that happens to have an online aspect to it (to play with friends and family) and also happens to be free-to-play. Even if this game isn't quite as difficult as Dragon's Dogma Online is, I feel you can still see that these sorts of games are anomalies among other online games. Personally, I could not get into games like Vindictus due to the cash shop and due to how the games feel like "older-styled MMO's" (I'm heavily biased towards responsive and reflex-driven action games along the Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden side of things) that happen to have flashy animations but are still stuck in the sense of trying to feel like an "MMO" instead of an action game. This is also the same reason why I had difficulties playing games like Black Desert Online (though I love how that game lets you map button combinations for your commands which is something I really wish Sega considered without the need of third-party tools).

Ive played FF XIV since launch and it isnt demanding, unless you want to push savage. The game is designed to be a theme park where you can beat 99% of the content on any job with any team comp and only things like savage and unreal which are designed for that 1% is considered "hard". Also I WISH we got Dragons Dogma Online in the west :/ makes me sad thinking about all the fun we missed out on, but Ark and new world are boring looking to me same with WoW, outside of ESO european MMOS just seem super boring to me
I played Dragon's Dogma online via VPN and it is easily one of the greatest MMOs I've ever played to this date. Imma be honest I only came back to PSO2 because they shutdown DDON (Still mad about it too).
