So if I play as a CAST
does it limit my fashion-choices?

yes and no. cast females and males have a decent amount of stuff if you count all the old pso2 stuff. However the rest have access to even more.

no race anymore you can choose whatever you want anytime
just uncheck use same body parameter you will have

cast femalecast

Old-body type
male female
cast femalecast
non gender body type( rappy,virtual-on,ect)

have fun adjust everything if you want it all

Race doesn't matter anymore. The reason you have to pick it is because legacy compatibility.

The only limitation is how much money your willing to spend.

CAST parts may be limited, but you can work with them by using the right accessories, I know this since I have been running a male CAST since I started on PSO2 and I didn't spend a lot of real cash on my looks, while building a very unique mech style look.

Making races not a thing anymore was a pretty lame move imo, even besides it destroying the worldbuilding it's just another lost aspect of character builds.

I expect the next PSO game to do away with classes entirely and just allow players to pick and choose skills as they wish.

And we'll all just be playing completely PC featureless mannequins and everyone will always be level 1 so that nobody feels inferior. Lol

PSU had the cool nanoblasts and SUV weapons, but humans and newmans were kinds SoL.
Making race differences have a big impact is good but it just needs to be even.

i miss Paradi Cataract and Ares Espada

And the one that dropped a toilet on the enemy. Lol

Special attacks like those would be a great way to give meaning to races again.
Cast would get the SUV weapons again and deuman could get access to dark/nano blast style transformations, and then humans and newmans could get buildup PAs and compound techniques or something.

I would say 'yes'.
If you play a cast in NGS, it limits your fashion-choices.

Few cast parts are available in NGS. On the contrary, Humanoid species have many clothes to choose. I believe this situation will change as long as SEGA continue to provide cast part. But right now it's a problem for cast players.

Or you can use old cast parts in pso2. These cast parts are good, cool and beautiful as long as you don't use these parts in NGS. The details of these parts show the limit of old model and old texture.

It's better for you to start as a humanoid now. But remember to set the color of cast parts. You won't need to use a salon pass when you have cast parts to use someday.
