no_content * Braver = more ways to enjoy no_content = no_content
Existing_content + Braver = new content. This is correct formula since the experience is different. But is it enough, that's another thing. Trust me, it's NEVER enough.
Since I'm not forced to play it, I can wait. Even for subbed games, stop sub and wait. Better yet, there are always other games or "gasp" real life stuff to do...
I mean new classes in vanila did come w/ actual content, the d-riding for sega is crazy.
In regards to that first video you shared, I am curious of what players wanted to see outside of the fights like the Bujin. I don't use the Katana because I don't like the animations and the way the weapon is handled in the base game (and it looks the same to me in New Genesis) but that video definitely doesn't utilize any of the new counter-attacks the Braver has (the auto-counter that comes up if you delay an attack or the weapon action counter) and simply rushes into the fight similarly to how you would have as a Hero or Phantom in the original game with step-counters and filling in the blanks with photon arts.
I know where I have read discussions, there are numerous complaints regarding how the attacks seem too weak or how the weapon action counters (which a lot of classes currently capitalize on) are underwhelming compared to other weapons.
At least for me, I feel the Braver overall lost so much of their skill ceiling and depth but in exchange got a much friendlier and cleaner foundation to build back up on. I don't really know anyone with a bow (at least in the higher level content of the original game) who spent their time "sniping" bosses or enemies as much as they were playing the high-end DPS game where you learned to click to a metronome and learned to balance that with the context of a boss or enemy you were fighting unless it was dead air (such as preparing Final Nemesis to pre-fire it at the right time). I really did prefer the speed of the older Braver but I don't see why that isn't a possibility for now in New Genesis, though it does make me worried for the Bouncer considering how simple they already are to play.
factually untrue. All classes have different avg dps, altho overall it tends to go melee > ranged => tech.
Fi has the highest dps by a good margin. Hu needs to avenger constantly to reach fi level dps and that just doesn't happen, but hu is second highest. Ra is third highest (maybe 4th after blight cancel nerf), Gu is fourth highest, Fo is fifth highest, and Te is last.
Braver is interesting. Katana looks to be about Hu level, maybe slightly lower than sword. While Bow is pretty...underpowered, and about on par with Fo.
I've tanked three Urgent Quest bosses with Bow today alone.
