In the other hand this game is not auto combat its a mix of action combat and tab target or something that reminds me about Kingdom hearts except that KH have combo attacks with very flashy moves that are just amazing to see.
It is still in it's infancy for me to properly review it but for now its not a bad game its good enough to play till new content comes along to likely shatter what I have in mind about the game I consider good enough.
This game is not the best because it has no competition since most games are still stuck with their w0w inspired combat. (THO FFXIV is better than w0w once you get further into the game)
My verdict is PSO2 and PSO2NGS is not a trash game its a game that its "about the journey not the destination" for there is endgame meaning THE END if without the grind to keep you busy and I'm telling you that there is nothing in the end so take your time just taking it easy while taking breaks if your feeling burnt out because that would just be on YOU not the game.
Game is not about competition so I don't take it seriously since its pure PVE which suits PSO.
You have other options of games so don't let this game be your only option because if it is... then perhaps this is the best game to you that no game could outshine if this game is your only option.
We're missing a ton of basic features and the amount of content is still lacking, but all in all NGS is a much better foundation for an MMO than alot that i've played.
BDO could have been nice, but not only does it drain your wallet, but it sucks your soul and time too. I don't like games that have timers for everything, and force you to check in every few hours for workers, or farms or horses. ETC.
PSO NGS is less of an MMO, and more of an online action game. Which is fine by me. If you were looking for a proper MMO experience, I can't say PSO NGS has many of the traits. But it is a fun action game with MMO-like features. And I'm sure with time more stuff will be added.
I'm playing PSO NGS, and not BDO, TERA, AA or a lot of other options. But I wouldn't say it's really the best. It does fit my schedule, and it is fresh. SO there is that.
BDO was a pretty good game all around and could've become the best action MMORPG ever made but the mega-greedy monetization and horrible worker system ruined any chance it had.
BDO's pvp and gear grind killed it for me. I don't like spending months failing enchants and building them back up again. And the pop-in was atrocious. Still is.
Though the CC was pretty neat, won't lie.
I remember you could get a fast horse and literally see the world get created around you while you moved.
yeah Tera online was really difficult on xbox controller to many skill to use and the game setting not support controller that why i use Razer Naga mouse when ever i play Tera online all my skill button is on that Razer Naga all i got to do with keyboard is button W,A,S,D to move...hahaha so my hand will not cramps simple and easy solution when playing Tera Online and for BDO it is very good graphic and game play but microtransactions is killing the players that why i stop playing BDO and i still play TERA sometime until this NGS release and now i forget about Tera already this NGS give influence so much..hahaha
But I recall enjoying playing Tera on my tv most, so controller was better choice.
I do wish that NGS had one thing from BDO. The premium set should have unlimited color changes ^_^
However, I may be wrong.
I played a Sorc manly, IIRC. And while some combos worked fine, there were things that I needed to remap. Which was painful, and required some trial and error to get comfy.
But I eventually got it to work, but it was non-standard. So once I left for a bit, and came back, it was an nightmare to figure out again what would work nicely. T_T
*hides in corner and cries*
As much as I hated AOL, I'd rather go back to AOL times and play a MUD...(than call a Halo derivative that's not an MMO, and MMO)
*insert old man yelling at clouds meme*
