Try Fighter class
pso2 new genesis has very low amount of quests, you can complete main stuff in like 10 hours lol. they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up.
base pso2 tho has lots of content but its old
I say this because there are currently only two ways to start a skill tree over once you spend points:
1. A "Skill Tree Reset Pass" that Sega only hands out when they feel like it. Typically, this is done for new class releases, or bug fixes with Skills, Classes, or Photon Arts. This pass will reset all of your spent skill points across all classes.
2. Spending real money to buy an additional skill tree; almost like a blank loadout.
As of right now, there aren't many Class Skills in NGS, so most of them don't have to worry about not having enough points. Fighter, for example, if you use it as a main class, only has a handful of "required" class abilities you'd want. Outside of those (maybe 5 to 6 points in total? unsure), the rest of your points would go to supplementary skills, like focusing on certain weapon types, extra attacks with said weapons, etc.
Currently, NGS has a total of 20 points you can spend. Base PSO2 has.. I think.. 114? or something. But the base game's level cap is 100 for any given class, and there are some class quests which award you with a handful of points when you complete them.
One nice thing about NGS is that you can create something called a multi weapon. That means you can mash two weapons together and pick moves (named Photon Arts in game) from both on a single weapon palette. So essentially, you can create a dagger/wired lance combo. The wired lance has not only long range and some AOE, also you can latch onto enemies and pull yourself into them, so you can get up close to use your dagger skills on them. All without switching weapons.
For base PSO2, as stated above, you will want to do a bit more research on the classes before spending too many skill points. But generally the fighter and hunter trees on that game are also good fits for rogue character types.
Another benefit of these games is that PSO2 skill trees are separate from NGS. So you can start a character in one class in one game, and be a totally different class in the other.
if anime fan : Katana Braver / Phantom (PSO2classic)
You won't be seeing any forced pvp and pvp is not mainstream in this game, just entirely PvE focused.
Only reason to pvp is to get stargems but pretty sure pvp is dead by now.
if you are wanna be Shaman King or Oni Slayer = pick braver katana.
if you are wanna be Harry Potter = pick Force or Techter.
if you are wanna be FF7 Cloud Strife = pick Hunter with big sword.
if you are wanna be FF7 Vincent Valentine = pick gunner with dual gun.
if you are wanna be a real hero in PSO2 = go solo the emergence quest. LMAO
you aint findin one from this game bro.
go fighter and use twin daggers if you wanna stabby stab things
If you want to stick till new year the game will be receiving its first major update and this october bouncer will arrive with some new activities but even the class dual swords of sorts they're more of a class that controls blades through magic despite being melee.
