Yeah, it's been going down this path ever since PSU when they tried turning it into a psudeo-MMO and I'm not fond of it, either. I would much rather they go back to their roots and turn it back into a 4-player co-op game with chat lobbies. I would love if they made something like Phantasy Star Zero but in HD.
I love PSU, it's by far the best experience I have ever had with any online game. I followed Clementine from pretty much the beginning and was involved in every testing phase. The final test in 2019 that ran for almost a year was pretty much the only game I played that year.
I have barely gone back since they officially launched though. I fell behind most players and at this point, I am finding it hard to motivate myself to play. There are so few low level players that it's hard to find anybody to play with anymore, and PSU's solo experience just isn't fun for me. I can play the game all day with groups of players, even if I am running the same missions over and over again, but on my own, it gets really boring.
I tried, but I rarely get a reply and I just got fed up with asking in the end. There just aren't enough low level players playing and the high level players would rather stick to high level missions.
