Can't buy AC and SG on Steam?

Did you top up your steam wallet? Because AC can't be bought direct with a credit card on steam, you need to top up your wallet and it'll be deducted from there.

And SG can't be bought with cash, you need to buy it with AC. Not that you need to with all the ways ingame to get SG.

I'd just bought some just now, so it works. Just like the previous person stated, you'll 1st have to load the steam wallet with money from your credit card/steam gift card, then you'll be able to make the purchase.

Oh aight sorry. So basically I tried to buy the ala carte SG and AC from the store page (not the packaged DLCs or whatever). It failed saying that there's an "unexpected error when we try to authorize your purchase".

I am able to purchase other games and DLCs normally however.

Add money to your Steam Wallet first and then purchase. In-game goods can only be purchased with money you added to the platform because it can never be refunded.

I am from Indonesia and i got the same "An unexpected error occurred while authorizing your transaction. Please try again." message. I have sufficient wallet. It's been like 2 days and still cant buy AC.

Steam made some recent changes/updates. If this is the first time in years that you're buying with Steam Wallet Funds, you need to provide info now (name, address and phone number). They never needed this info before and now an error will occur if you left those blank.
