Why are there so many weebs!?

HAHAHAHA!! i remember playing the og pso and didnt encounter this many. its just overrun now. i play for the battle system and grinding, the majority seem to play for the roleplaying (which i dont have an issue with) but you gotta admit its funny. 30 year olds dressed and cartoon children lmao

I mean, weeb originated on 4chan as a replacement term for japanophiles, purely to suggest that anyone with an interest in anything japanese is somehow less then human. It can be problematic, sure, but more often than not its just to bully people who happen to like anime. As if jojo hasnt prevaded western culture to the point where people randomly say NANI all the time.

I thought the word "weeb" was an insult. I knew that weebs have strange behaviors, imitate anime or video game characters in real life, and sometimes cause inconvenience in public places.
Roleplaying cannot in any way be associated with weebs.
Roleplaying is roleplaying.

But not only this, very often it is simply a question of aesthetics. Often people always select female characters when there is a choice. For example in Dead or Alive I only use female fighters. Games where there are men usually reject them, I don't like Final Fantasy XV for that reason.
PSO2 is a great game where you have a choice and even a great creation. Everyone creates the character they like best.
There are no weebs here, or at the very least, there will be very few, and you will never know until you really get to know them privately.

If someone from the west has a problem with that, and that INCLUDES certain politicans that already said Anime Hentai is degenerating the US people, then he should SHUT THE FRACK UP. Dont play the game if you hate it, DONT EVEN WRITE ABOUT IT as your BIAS against it.

OP did break RULES on STEAM and should be banished for that. I just REACT to that and tell him to shut it. Thats the LEAST an ANIME FAN, KNOWN AS OTAKU NOT WEEB, SHOULD DO.

The term 'weeb' may be derisive but it's hardly taboo. I think you need to calm down, they're allowed to have a crappy opinion. To quote another western politician: "Work hard to not offend and work even harder to not be offended."

There is liking anime and then there is being a weeb. I can say for sure that a lot of people I come across online in discords and such are certainly weeby, games like this really feed them, I could deal with such when I was younger and playing PSU but I'm older and more aware now and people are bloody weird and creepy. And while you think guys playing as female is all down to aesthetics it usually is but for creepy reasons. But you can think what you want.

I suppose it mirrors the real world though, seems being a woman is popular.
