why do people love terraria so much?

i dont get it like i love terraria but im seeing people on here whohave played for 6000 hours.

theyre probs cheating, leaving the game on and letting it run, OR they just are having fun with the life they wish they had, but now is impossible.

It's a... nice game, making new chars, new worlds, doing challenges /w or without friends is really fun, tho part of the playtime is afk grinding/farming.

It takes getting into, but once you get the hang of the game it's actually quite hard to stop. At least for me, that is. Everyone has their own opinions. :)
