Does frame skip make frame rate better? What does it do?
For a while now, i've had it off, and was wondering what it does, and if it affects my FPS

So frameskip makes it so that if your computer's too slow to draw all of the frames, it'll skip them, but if you have it off and your computer's too slow to draw all of the frames, it'll slow the game down, which can cause de-sync issues in multiplayer.

It will not have any affect on your FPS, but it will make it easier to play if you have it off in singleplayer but in multiplayer you'll be at a disadvantage since you'll be moving slower and enemies will teleport towards you if your framerate falls below 60 fps.

I have it on, because in multiplayer my FPS goes down below 60 during boss fights (thanks 1.3 >.>) and in singleplayer it doesn't happen often. Also personally I find it harder to play with it off since it can be harder to time things correctly if you do have a random spike.
And Subtle? What does it mean?

*sigh* Subtle skips some frames, making the game run at a more consistent pace.
