Meteorites NEVER fall

I broke almost all of the crimson hearts on my world and no meteorites have fallen.

look in wikipedia, maybe you don't respect some rules, for example you defeated them but don't destroyed some orbs after that. That are the rules from wiki "A meteorite crash site has a 50% chance of spawning after a Shadow Orb or Crimson Heart is smashed. yeah but arent you forgetting something..? meteorite is used for the meteor staff in hardmode (which is op af i love it) and its used for the drill containment unit in the endgame... meteorite is still useful.

Before this update, you could bomb a heart/orb, let a meteorite fall, mine the meteorite with explosives, and skip all metal armors until you get the shadow set and have the space gun, a very good weapon at that point in the game.

But you could easily get meteor armor and gun before killing a single boss and by the second night if lucky.

You can kill the Queen bee and get Bee's Knees in one day if you wanted

But you already need a pick to mine and then they made meteor not drop until the boss dies so it seems like a bit of overkill to do both, no?
