Mana not regenerating during boss fights
Seriously, this is really starting to make me want to quit this game. For some odd reason my mana completely stops regeneration during a boss fight (the curse skeleton guy). Wtf am I doing wrong and how do I get my mana back? All my strongest weapons require mana

did you know that the less mana you have available the slower it regenerates?

Since you're still in the early game, you'll have to use some non-magic items when you run out of mana, or craft a lot of mana potions.

Will consuming mana potions make me potion sick? Id suck to not be able to heal after consuming one

Given that this is a boss fight, you want to remain mobile so don't worry about slowing down to increase mana regen. I can think of two ways to help off the top of my head:
a. Brewing a mana regeneration potion - it boosts mana regen, self explanatory (while you're at it make a magic power potion)
b. Crafting a mana flower to automatically use mana potions.

Mana potions give mana sickness which is different in that it temporarily lowers magic damage, it does not prevent you from using potions to heal however.

Are you wearing any magic oriented armor? (i.e. Jungle or meteor armor)
Jungle armor increases max mana and reduces mana usage when you wear the full set, though defense on magic oriented armor tends to be fairly low.

You'd probably be better off with a full suit of jungle armor, set bonus is 16% reduced mana usage and it would give better defense.
