Is there a mod like Vein miner on the Steam Workshop?

I cant seem to find a mod like it on the workshop, i dont wanna use tmodloader cause its behind in updates. plus my world on terraria i put 140 hours in so i dont wanna start over with a new character and world. Is there mod for the real terraria that is like vein miner?

The workshop for terraria is for resource packs and worlds, not actual mods. If you want to play with mods then tmodloader is your only option. That does also have a workshop though.

tmodloader is not an optional gimmick. It's the only way for mod devs to crack the Terraria codebase open and squeeze in some alternate code. Therefore, you've gotta wait anyway.

if u use the 1.4 beta, you could copy and paste your world and character files there and use it with veinminer.

if u use the 1.4 beta, you could copy and paste your world and character files there and use it with veinminer.

is the beta for tmodloader the same 1.4 version? like would any content be missing though?

The beta is for 1.4, but I doubt that there are many mods out there which work with the latest version of tmodloader.

I'm not sure if it would be the best idea to use mods for a first-time playthrough, perhaps you might want to just go into the base game first.

There is one for the alpha version von tmodloader 1.4 in the workshop actually https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2565639705 - I've never tried it though, and it's possible that it doesn't work with the latest version of tmodloader since its API is still unstable.

Just read the thread before responding. With the release of tmodloader 1.4 alpha some alpha mods made it to the workshop as well.

I'm not sure if it would be the best idea to use mods for a first-time playthrough, perhaps you might want to just go into the base game first.

im 140 hours in to my first playthrough haha, im saying its the only mod id consider to stay mainly a vanilla experience for my first playthrough xd
