Meteors?

ok so in my master mode play through I beat my biome boss aka eater of worlds and I'm not sure whats supposed to happen (i'm stupid) but isnt there supposed to be one meteor that crashes into a biome im not sure i havent played terraria in a minute i dunno can someone call me an idiot and tell me whats supposed to happen

It happens after you defeat him around 7 PM or 12 Midnight (I forget which). You just need to wait until you see that it has fallen.

That's what all the guides say, however, I've beaten EoW six times now and still no meteor has spawned.

Where does it exactly say that a meteor WILL spawn if you beat a boss?
You need to beat one and then destroy orbs or hearts. And then you have a 50% chance for one. If you destroyed them all prior defeating the boss, you have to wait for a lucky evening.
