best setup for eater of worlds? (master mode)

I'm trying to take down eater of worlds, but I feel a little underprepared. Any suggestions?

Potions. Grenades, Fight underground... Fish in the desert to get a bast statue (+5 defence or find it in a chest). Max out your health... If you have the goblin invasion at any point. Grab a ton of the spiky balls. If you luck out with a gun... get yourself the minishark.
Build the arena underground add a backwall and so on so mobs don't spawn inside it.
You can get Jungle armour if want to use the vilethorn. Then you can get honey too.

There's a really easy way to cheese EoW with the king slime mount. Prepare a bunch of buffs (ironskin, regen, campfire, etc) and summon him in one of the horizontal corruption chasms. If you jump on top of him you can get him to pin you to the ceiling and the mount will do damage to each segment as it passes by.

Build a minecart track in tunnel in the Corruption with bumpers at both ends. It's not required to be long, less than you screen width is okay. Accelerate you iron minecart to max speed, summon the EoW and swing the Blade of Grass or a flail with brain afk until it's dead. That's it.

that's what I ended up doing! It was very effective.

I made a few rows of flat platforms in the underground corruption and used piercing weapons such as jester arrows
You dont even have to kill it, just get enough scales for the pickaxe and go to molten
As long as you don't get hit by the head you should be fine.

I found the only hard thing about the fight was the poison spit. I used a flail to block most of it and tanked the few shots that got through using potions, heart lamps and camp fires. One tip is also to use a grappling hook to hold on to the platform you are standing on to gain immunity to knockback.
