Martian Boss bug?

I've killed him 1 time but right after that he spawns again in couple of seconds. I killed him 3 Times now with several deaths... but he spawns again and again there is no end. I this supposed to happen? I've never played this game so far so I'm curious.

Mini boss. Think of him as an natural enemy during the event.

If you're on about the Matian Saucer , he will keep respawning until the event is over.

This is crazy what's the right tactic for this usually? I've killed him but just with luck. He isn't hard but the mobs around him are so annoying like the ones who disturb your movement. I got killed 40 times before the event was over :P

standing is a box works quite well. it blocks all his attacks but you need to make sure you're far enough away from the edges of the box to not be hit by the splash damage of the rockets. then you need weapons that can hit outside the box such as the daedalus stormbow or weapons that can hit through blocks.

Homing attacks or wall piercing attacks work well when standing under a roof. Your best defense is staying protected on all sides by walls. Summoner weapons work very well (if their AI doesn't cause them to fly away or fall off a platform...)

Thanks for the hints! I'll try It next time. A question regarding spectre armor besides.. I don't quite get the sense of this armor the hood says It decreases magic attack 40%. What's the point crafting the spectre hood?

The Spectre Hood regens life the more damage you do.

I know but the actual damage taken from enemies is crazy even If a normal slime attacks me 1 time I lose like 6 life points. I can't imagine a boss fight with this set and I regret crafting this thing since It was so expensive.

Ps: Which weapon Is reccomandable with this set?

Depending on your stage of progression in the game, the meteor staff works absolutely amazingly against the martian saucer. not only does it let you attack from safety, it's splash damage also hits all four guns/turrets of the saucer at once.

If you want to be more or less godmode in a martian invasion, try making a 5x5 box of any material around yourself, in an open area, stand in the center so that you are out of range of the blast radius of the saucer's rockets, and just spam meteor staff. none of the martians can pierce blocks with their attacks other than the drone.So just keep on the look for those and nothing will be able to hurt you, and you'll be able to hammer them with flaming exploding rocks from the sky.

Thanks a bunch Tymon! that helped me a lot!. I'm a big fan of yoyos and since I've defeatet pantera I'm trying to get that kraken. Wiki says It can be dropped in the dungeon. Do you now which dungeon exactly? the normal one or the jungle temple. I'm farming in the normal one for quite a while but haven't got one yet.

Whenever the wiki says dungeon, it means the one you fought skeletron at.
