Cheating?

Hi, there.

So, I once was a cheating ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who played Terraria. The farthest I had gone (legitamitely) was to Hardmode. Then, I had gotten post-Moon Lord characters to help me throughout. That got me a lot of un-ordered and scammy achievements.

I have also downloaded maps like Builder's Workshop. That wasn't my best.

And now, I'd like to go %100 cheat-free. And I need help deciding what is cheating and what isn't? (For a note, I mean 100, 100. I don't want to cheat at all. I'd like to play as the develepors intended). I've now beaten the game multiple times cheat-free <3

So, I'll make a list.

• Multiplayer? (With legit characters, not giving items I haven't gotten/can't get yet)
  
• Mods? (Thorium, Calamity, etc. Occasionally they make it fun)
  
• Glitches? (The duck glitch, hoiks, loops)
  
• Wiki? (Looking up whatever I need to know on the wiki)
  
• YouTube Tutorials? (I.E. Chippy's guides and tips things)
  
• Farming? (Like AFK sitting, while having summons or wiring to kill enemies)
  
• Using Multiple Worlds? (To gather resources, items from the other world evil, so on)

I appreciate you all. Thank you ;)

Oh, and note. I enjoy myself playing the legit game. If I felt like I'd enjoy myself more to cheat, I will. I will always be enjoying myself, and if I change my mind I will. ;)

Regarding cheating, it's a sandbox game. Generally speaking this means you make your own rules. Some people for example have a 'one world' rule where you can't farm gear from other worlds to bring in. Some things are obviously cheating though, like spawning in items or etc.

I don't understand what you mean exactly, cheating is getting an advantage that other players can't get in the base game. So yeah all mods are cheating, exploits and glitches are not, knowledge is something everyone can get, farming is part of the game and multiplayer is multiplayer. Not that it matters at all because this is a singleplayer,sandbox game cx

It's honestly pretty toxic period.

there is no such thing as cheating.

people have their own versions of what this illusion is and all are slightly different.

i personally see nothing as cheating and set up game conditions as well as loadouts that i consistently repeat for different reasons.

ultimately, obtaining a skill or technique is the best result.

my main runtype at the moment is calamity death defiled rune.
start in hardmode by warping to hell with a more mature character and erasing wof. start the actual run with a new character. begins with 50 hp and does less than half the damage due to defiled rune.. characters must be hardcore for true balance. each heart found only lifts you 10 hp. so you need about 3 before you can tank a single shot.

either pulse bow or venus magnum,
picksaw,
worm scarf,
lightning boots,
either betsy or solar wing,
magic quiver or sniper scope depending on start weapon
wof loot bag
cell phone
a stack of pretty blocks
brick layer
portal gun
rod of discord.
bat hook

the objective is to kill supreme calamitas on one life. under these conditions.
i still have not acheived this.

Really all you need to do is start a new world and character and stick to it. It's whatever if you make another world say to get gear you can't get on your's or if you're low on materials, but as long as you stick to a single character and world you should be good. Multiplayer and Mods are optional, and really aren't cheats unless you allow them to be. Again it's all up to you in a game like Terraria

I'll just make a quick run-down through the list:

~Multiplayer?
- When starting a complete new playthrough, make sure everyone has an entirely new character (Vanity is permitted so long as they are equipped in the social section).
~Mods?
- You may use any content or QoL mod to enhance your gameplay. Just be sure to not use mods that are typically made for spawning yourself items or bosses (like Cheat Sheet).
~Glitches?
- It's pretty much your choice about which glitches you may want to use or which you rather want to leave out. But if you want to be glitchless, leave them all out.
~Wiki and YouTube?
- No cheating at all! Feel free to look up Guides or Information if you need help getting certain items or defeating certain bosses.
~AFK Farming?
- Terraria is a Sandbox game, you are free to use any build that helps you defeat Events or bosses, from arenas to complete AFK farms. But whether you are experienced in wiring or building things is another question.. ;)
~Multiple worlds?
- That's your choice really. If you want to leave out World Hopping, you are free to do so. But if you are really into getting certain items that you cannot find in your current world (like Evil counterparts), your choice.

ive beat the game many times on console 3.5k hours too so when i got on pc i just got all the modsd and maps because that is what i had been waiting for
