Calamity Moon Lord fight suggestions
I have the Ankh Shield and was going to upgrade to Asgard’s Valor, but is there any accessories or melee weapons you recommend? Defeated every pre-Lunatic Cultist boss btw, so can craft pretty much anything.

I have full melee Ataxia armor and Terra Blade + Vampire Knives, but I need better weapons against ML.

Try upgrading to Terratomere if you can, the life-steal isn't really significant but it still has respectable homing features. In addition to that, the Bloody Worm Scarf, Deific Amulet (mainly for armour penetration), Statis Ninja Belt, The Community, Laudanum and Absorber I all recommend. That and upgrading the Ankh Shield to Asgard's Valor. If you do upgrade the Ankh Shield then you don't really need the Ninja Belt, since the only real use it has is the dash capability.

Ataxia Armour is the best armour you'll have for the Moon Lord for the most part, particularly due to the explosive effect of the set bonus, though it depends on how close you get to a corporeal part of the ML. I recommend beating the Lunatic Cultist aswell, since a few of the accessories I mentioned can only be crafted using the Ancient Manipulator (though the Terratomere also applies). If you're thinking of using the Solar Eruption, don't. Use the Nebulash instead, despite functioning the same and having supposedly less damage if viewed in the inventory, it trounces it in dps capabilities.

Essentially, if you plan on running away from the ML while firing back, Terratomere is the best melee option. If you plan on facing it at melee range, either use the Nebulash or another Lunar Event tier true melee weapon (though I have no experience with true melee, so i'd just check the wiki for your recommended options in that instance).

What other weapons are needed for the Terratomere? I can farm the Solar Eclipse if necessary.

Where do I get the Deific Amulet? Is that a Ravager drop?

I’m also not in Expert mode because I’m playing with a less experienced friend, but I can go to an expert mode world and kill the bosses if needed. I do have the Bloody Worm Scarf however.

These are just a few questions, thanks for the detailed response.

Btw, my current accessories are:
Ankh Shield
Mechanical Glove
Bloody Worm Scarf
Discordian Wings
One more I’m forgetting

All warding or menacing.

Check the wiki for details on the drops, easier than typing it out. You don't absolutely need them and they require some farming but they're definitely worth it. Since you're on Normal Mode though your options are a bit limited. A good deal of Calamity's better accessories and weapons are Expert/Revengenace Mode exclusive.

Why not just do the cheeze method of making a box-house with the Nurse in it and holding a yo-yo outside of it for free protection, infinite heals, and easy damage?

I was planning on fighting all the prehardmode and hardmode bosses on an expert world so I could get Heart of the Elements, the Amalgamation, and other Expert accessories anyways, so I’ll just do that before I fight ML. Definitely going to play Expert next game though.

I enjoy farming (especially with Vampire Knives) so I’ll probably just farm every boss and enemy to get all the best possible gear before fighting ML, since I’ve never fought him before.

That’s just sad. If I wanted to cheese I’d use the Mechanical Minecart to beat him.

The box is cheesier. If you're going cheesy, go all-out in cheesiness. Heck, just have an autoclicker automatically spam the nurse, and go summoner to let your minions eat the ML. Ultra Cheese Method.

.. that would be ultra-rooogie
It's also the easiest and simplest way to win.

and is not even fun
Nobody asked for the fun way. They just wanted a way to do it. So I provided the easiest way.

now, lets say he uses this "easy way" every time he needs to fight moonlord. he doesnt improve at all, he doesnt learn anything. that method is cancer
Yet still a viable method nonetheless. I'm not here to argue whether it's a method that encourages learning or that it's the best method (because it isn't), just that it's the easiest.
Ok, I was fighting him and my computer turned off. Oof.

Is their an upgrade to the Charm of Myths I can get?
