What do you consider a biome? Do you just mean any area where different kind of blocks spawn? How small can a biome spawn? Do the tiny shrines in the jungle count? If so, is every path of rock or dirt a different biome?
I don't think it's a meaningful distinction. I would consider a full list of surface biomes to be:
Forest, (Corrupt Forest, Crimson Forest, Hallowed Forest),
Tundra, (Corrupt Tundra, Crimson Tundra, Hallowed Tundra)
Desert, (Corrupt Desert, Crimson Desert, Hallowed Desert)
Jungle
Ocean
Followed by the underground biomes:
Underground, (Underground Corruption, Underground Crimson, Underground Hallow)
Caverns, (Corrupt Caverns, Crimson Caverns, Hallowed Caverns)
Underground Tundra, (Corrupt Ice Caverns, Crimson Ice Caverns, Hallowed Ice Caverns)
Underground Desert, (Corrupt Desert Caverns, Crimson Desert Caverns, Hallowed Desert Caverns)
Underground Jungle
Hell
yes I agree there isn't a proper distinction but the distinction what I am trying to make comes from enemy spawns, music, background change and overall spawns things that are unique to these biomes. The biomes you mentioned are correct and distinct completely.
Also I didn't know jungle biomes don't have a hallowed/crimson/corrupt version.
As for the jungle - yep. It can be corrupted, but that just converts it to a normal corruption/crimson biome. The mud turns to dirt and it can't be converted back without mining and replacing the blocks. It's also immune to hallow.

Edit: I read the wiki again and it is actually very good and nicely placed but now I have multiple biome based questions, I will search for them and maybe put up another discussion if not found, I am marking your post as Answer for now.
