Shadowflame Bow.

It's comparable to a Hallowed Repeater - probably even better. The Shadowflame debuff has the highest dot debuff making it much better than trying to use Cursed Arrows. Furthermore, the really high velocity of Shadowflame Arrows mean that you have to aim less - with a Titanium Repeater you have to fire above your target to account for the curve.

Meanwhile the Shadowflame's Knife bouncing special effect is insanely difficult to aim - you can basically only hit one target and that's if the arc doesn't cause it to miss in the first place. The Shadowflame Hex Doll is similarly bad & doesn't have a long enough arc to reach, say, The Twins.

So yeah. The lack of needing to aim & the ability to hit any target makes the Shadowflame Bow superior to its mage and melee counterparts. It also has the highest damage value.

Have to agree with this.

Found the Shadowflame Bow right at the beginning of HM in my Hardcore game and it's taken me all the way to the Mechanical Bosses. I was able to beat them quite easily with the Shadowflame Bow.

The dot debuff & high single damage also makes it a powerful weapon against Mothron. I've had many victories where I've been speeding with the Mechanical Cart and firing backwards.

Winner? I don't get it. This is all based on opinion, therefore there can be no winner unless it is selected randomly.
