I know how you feel. RNG hates me to no end. I got anywhere from 3-7 of every accessory and weapon from Crimson Mimics before I got the Fetid Baghnacks that I was looking for.

I didn't spend a whole lot of time farming for it...I think? I did put up a number of banners in the cavern I made for it and let my minions kill everything. Of course, I ended up with another 4 Blessed Apples.

...Between that and trying to get the Hallow Key I have almost a full chest of just Blessed Apples. I curse every time I get another one of them now.

Pretty darn rare. I was insanely lucky to get it on my 5th Chaos Elemental kill.
I had to cover my mouth to prevent myself from screaming.

What he means is he doesn't use it because the community (rightfully) considers it cheating as it's exploiting an error in the code to obtain a HM item before HM actually begins.

Well, it's not affecting anyone if he does it, so that's part of the consensus rule; if everyone in your group agrees to it, it's not cheating.

In his case, Singleplayer Hardcore, the only one in the group is himself.
