how the hell do i place walls?

the only thing my Tree slabs can do is place a background/wall, but not an actual wall then it turns to night and i get ass raped...

If your referring to the physical parts that block movement... You have to place blocks. Walls (Or fences) refer to the background block that things can pass through.

what i mean is that all i find in options is "use item press Left mouse button".. and when i do it places a background wall... not an actual wall, so i cant build a house or protect myself..

you need to actually place wood

Oh now i get it.. Sorry guys im so used to Starbound where you just suck up dirt then uses 2 buttens to shift between background and the actual wall infront of you. now i see how it works lol..

just left click with the wood in your hand and press ctrl to switch betwiene building modes when the cursur is skinny its precise mode

ok the WHY does Wood ONLY want to be placed ontop of Dirt & Grass? I can't get it to stack & make a wall thats not a background I've made the basic wood also Doors are not placing either why is building so hard in this Trash fire

"Walls" are only for the background, you want to use the actual wood blocks, also doors require a block above and below it
