How to download from Steam Cloud?

Sooooo, I just made the mistake of uploading both of my characters to the steam cloud and now I can't find them nor find a way to download them. What do I do? I looked in the character folders and they are empty...

You shouldn't use Steam Cloud, it's weird. You're better off transferring characters with a flash card.

I use steam cloud and it works great.
How it works is when you download the game again from a different PC using the same credentials then you'll get whatever was in the cloud back.

I've accidentally uploaded stuff to the cloud before, generally if you use the in game option to move it off cloud it will give you the actual file. But yeah as a rule of thumb, steam cloud is awful. Don't use it.

Yeah, I eventually got my characters back and immediately disabled the Cloud
