Though early access, it seems the depot hasn't been updated in nine months. Is this still being actively developed or has this been abandoned?

I am playing this with Proton on Linux, so that might be a reason. I also disabled the black background because it always popped in front of the main window. But... what is wrong with the normal startup? Maybe I can help? Oh, and what am I missing because of it? Oh btw. the map looks really weird. Don't know if I really need it to play the game....

I have no idea what the answer is, Ive been looking for an hour now. Anyone have any ideas?

Firstly, I'd like to compliment the game. I haven't played too many text-rpgs before, but I'm blown away by the depth of this game's world. Encouraging the player to write their own accounts of events in the journal and at certain key moments helps to make the narrative feel more alive. In my last playthrough, I managed to have the witch investigate the tower in the swamps. When she had finished she asked something to the effect of whether or not I was ready, but nothing further came of it and she reappear...

I've only been able to get four of the endings. The two for toadburg surviving and dying and two with the children, brother dying and both dying. I can't figure out what to do with the map, whistle, or where another weapon is. Am I missing something? Please help!...
