Help Fema Survive the Winter
How much food do I need to bring him? We're in summer. He takes what I give him (cannibal meat....) and stocks it away. I don't see a progress bar or anything. I'm hoping this will loosen the lips of the advance scout but he's still saying nothing to me.

Don't give the stuff for free but don't charge extra either. Doing this quest alone won't help, the easiest way to get Liam to talk is to get as many bottles of wine and books you can and shove it down his throat until you max out his approval, then tell him you can offer a sympathetic ear.

They wont eat them since it's dont eat by default.
Oh darn. I didn't think about that. So with that mission, can I just drop a crap ton of uncooked corn on them or do I need to cook it first? What a PITA. I need like cooking pot for a single ear of corn. It will take me forever. Is there a bar or something that goes up so I know they've gotten enough food?
Albert I missed your comment about the wine and books. I will try that. Do you know if likes the detective or the fantasy books? What's the difference between respect and approval ratings? It seems like approval affects morale, but I don't know if it's respect or approval that makes the NPCs tell me things they don't want to initially tell me.

He likes both. Respect is used to intimidate people into doing stuff and approval is used to sweet talk people. Respect is more important because people in your group leave you if they have too low of it for you.
Oh wow. Thank you for that clarification. I didn't know how the system worked. I'd end up going into the editor because I didn't know what to keep the people from either joining or staying with me. Do you get respect from your crew if people see you fighting zombies or looters? Do they give you more respect if they are involved or is it the same? I find in the story run this time, I'm not getting many people with good traits I'd want in my crew. if they don't have potential fitness of at least 4 I give them a pass.

I wish I could help the refugees that I send on their way. Like just load them up with weapons, armor and food so they have the best chance of surviving. Maybe Bob would consider that, along with a corpse disposal and game hunting role. And a rule to retreat inside bases if they see zombies or a strong group of humans, like the AI does.

Respect: Gained by killing stuff, doing quests, fisticuffs, and shakedowns

Approval: Gained by gifting, complements and quests

You can brain scan them and scroll down to try to understand the system better
