Taking Over a Town

I don't really see any discussions about this strategy but generally speaking I will have my camp be based out of a townhouse that has an attached workbench and build a wall around it. I would like to eventually wall off an entire town.

My main question is will zombie spawns be a logistical issue, as in if I have a wall around an entire town will zombies spawn inside of my little city?

Given how easy it is to take over structures I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about others doing the same at least yet at, is anyone else doing this?

Hi. Previously it depends whether the town is a spawn point. Usually it is. Currently the status is if you venture into a town the game will regard that your peeps or main have left prints in it. In the map section on the left there is a timer on how long the mobs will be spawned from that location to harass your base.

In the world section when creating a new game there is an option for how many days will the zs respawn. From my previous plays the zs will. Not sure now because haven't done it for a long time. Take note that raiders will also appear from town previously. You can easily verify this by resting in a house in the town for a couple of days. See whether any z will appear after you cleared the location. Good luck.

So walling off one house like I've been doing is viable enough, but if I try the grand project it will get... weird

Does not matter if it is one house or whole town.
You will still get "footprints" spawning constant hordes.

I may have misunderstood, the spawn hordes from tracks are not a concern; only whether or not random zombies will spawn inside the town if I have walls up and claimed the buildings.

If they come from the edge of the map due to track spawns I'm not terribly worried.

there are zombie spawn locations everywhere, but those only spawn in when you are close as a player
