You can also put up signs if you don’t want any humans to fall into traps...but where’s the fun in that :)
Traps degrade as they are activated so your trapper initially can reset them without wood but after a few uses, the trapper will grab wood when resetting.
next step is you want one person to be the skinner if you have enough rabbit traps, they will go around gathering rabbits and skinning while the trapper reset all the traps. the second a rabbit gets trapped they both run over if nothing else is available.
the skinner will ask the trapper to trade too if they have rabbit on em then he eventually stores it into a building so the cooks can use it.
I keep One Trapper to rearm all my traps after attacks. Makes it easy to follow him to see if the Traps even work. Which they absolutely do. Saw a good 12 Raiders fall into my traps. It was brilliant.
BTW I think a skinner as role is a waste of time since this is something a chef or the trapper himself should do.
you can only have 1 task per person, if he is a trapper then his only job is to reset traps.
you need to get a second person, pick up a dead rabbit, and tell him to skin the rabbit as a recurring job. (do it forever)
so you need at LEAST 1 unskinned rabbit in invintory to make a skinner.
the trapper stores them as far as i could tell.(i could be wrong) i also prefer my cook to be cooking constantly instead of constantly having to run over and skin 50 rabbits at a time. by the time he cooks the pile of meat, the dead rabbits pile up again. plus you can argue 2 is better for protection.
(i have too many traps and too many people, they would be idle otherwise or a guard)

The chef as a role skins them himself if he needs them. What you are talking about is "doing a job infinite". The chef won't store food but only provide food at the campfire.
Skinning 50 rabbits is like 10~20 seconds or something like this thats why I say it's a waste of time.
I don't know how many ppl you have. Mine are only idle during winter when there are no crops but I can imagine that one is running out of employment when the community is getting rly big.
