Do you know a time though? Iam 30 days in now ( i know its not long yet) and nothing ever respawned or regrowed. Thanks in advance
I don't think it takes that long. Did you happen to "clear" the stump as well? that removes the tree permanently.
So we need to leave the stumps to ensure regrowth. That's counter-intuitive; I had reasoned that perhaps I needed to clear the stumps to make room for new trees, so thanks for the info!
A 7-day respawning tree is another matter.
I mean to say that trees don't typically regrow from stumps and a forest floor cluttered with dead stumps can stifle sapling growth. To your point about respawn rates, I suppose it is a challenge to design a renewable timber resource without a slightly gamey mechanism.
At any rate, I am grateful for the hint, so I can stop exhausting a renewable resource!
