Release date for Oceania expansion?

Is there an ETA for the Oceania expansion? I just bought the digital not realising there's no expansion packs, and it pales so badly compared to physical+Oceania expansion.

The gameplay improvements with that expansion are excellent and sorely missed when playing digital. Also of course having birds that are actually known to us players (as opposed to the North American birds) makes a big difference.

Would love a rough ETA, doesn't need to be exact, but just knowing there's a release of it coming would help a lot!

The expansions have yet to be officially confirmed as in progress so far as I know. Like most digital adaptations of board games, whether they're developed will depend on current and estimated future sales; also like most digital adaptations of board games, the developers won't want to confirm they're in the works until close to completion because they're generally small studios and so very vulnerable to fluctuations in delivery dates which can lead to massive, unwanted negative pressure when expectations are not met.

In all honesty, my personal guess is that at least one is already in development. It's only a guess, though, and don't expect any official news of any kind until close to release, if ever.

We're super happy you're excited for the expansions - we are, too! However, before Oceania goes digital, we're planning on implementing the European Expansion first. Both are in development, though, and as soon as we have dates, we'll share them with everyone!

You can do this with any game by choosing in steam what is installed and not in the DLC tab.

That's good to know. But with all the rulesets and online play, is it really as simple as just doing that?

Yes Yes .... Oceania would be awesome especially if the continue to use real recordings of the birds. What a fun way to learn each birds call!

honestly it's about time the expansion (Europe & Oceania) get released for the digital game since they are already out quite a while for the physical board game

It's a quite bit trickier and in depth to develop the digital adaptation, especially if you have a small team.

This - especially as the new rules of european e.g. are very varied and require many new ui elements etc
