Is there any rhyme or reason to exactly which tile an enemy will step to? If there is I feel it should be explained better to the player. All I've seen in terms of instructions is that red enemies go 'towards you' and purple 'away', which is broadly true, but I've seen instances where the red enemy could have been adjacent to me in one move but went somewhere two moves away instead...if I can't calculate what they will do, it sort of kills the gameplay....
