Hibari fight is HORRIBLE
It was the precision of a brain surgeon and the reflexes of a cat.

It takes weeks to even deal damage to hher, and even like its like 5% of her health.

If they are on a corner wall jump and hit her or bounce the needle off the opposite corner. If they are in the center, bounce the needle at a slight angle towards the corner.

Seriously, she can ignore invincibility frames and can kill you in a single attack from full health.

The two enemies that keep spawning in make this unbearable, as I cant focus on the already tedious, drawn out, terrible boss fight. I dont care that they got like a 1 in 50 chance of dropping food, they only make an already unfun boss less fun.

Seriously, is there any way to like kick the needle at her to course correct it after she throws it?

The mobs she spawns are very weak. Blow them away with a drop kick or a dab. The attack that REALLY hurts is those long lines she draws, I think those might be a bit bugged, but steering clear off them is not too hard if you clear the ads. The floating pin cushions can also be easily smacked away but there's some attacks that seem to clip into them. I forget which Misako attack does that, had to use another one.

Protip: if you can hit her twice (by wall jumping) before her needle attack, she will fall down.

use the corners at the needle attack... double jump on walls... its easy.

out of all the boss, hibari is the easiest. i'm not joking.

her OHKO is stupid though, I relate to that. but hear, jumping on the wall to hit her (any attack, not just heavy) twice (yes, only twice) will make her fall down.
she has no down i-frame. so go ahead and bash her even if she's lying down.

her zombie-ish mob are weaker than their school counterpart where you first meet one of them. it's the flying uppercut girl. they take about 3 hit to kill. usually a single combo should be enough.

you want to practice wall jumping to Hibari. in her third cycle she bombard you with flying clothe bomb and sewing OHKO fills the screen.
she always go the other side of you. the only time you cant really hit her is when she is preparing her needle attack, her glowing thing protects her or something.

With a wall jump, Kyoko's Cheer Drill (if you bought it) can tag Hibari even when she's pretty close to the center of the screen. Mind the invuln frames and bullets, though.

Also if you have an air special like drop kick, you might be able to knock her down from the air in one blow

I don't remember the fight being that bad, all you had to do was use the nutcracker when she hits herself with the needle. I really only jumped when she aimed directly at me.
William Shakesman Sep 7, 2019 @ 11:59am
The thread attack is stupid and busted. But it only hits you when she launches the needle and when the threads explode.

The needle will always hit Hibari if she is in the corner and you make her fire it into the opposite corner. Run under it when she lifts her hand, you aren't clearing it with a jump.

The best DPS you can get on Hibari while she is stunned is heavy attacks, probably Kyoko's best is her up Y attack.

I agree, this boss is terribly unfair with these random explosive threads that can kill you almost instantly, and just tedious.
As William Shakesman has said you can hit Hibari when she is in the corner going to the opposite corner. If she is in the center it works too, just go to any corner.
Hmmm.......it just, RUN WALLJUMP BAM, RUN DODGE WALLJUMP BAM, then 2 combos, then scram. It took me just 3 rounds.
I'm not gonna say it easy or I'm good at it but, just remember the pattern dude.
If you reach Abobo then you'll cry like a kid, I tell ya.

I didn't have a problem with her once I figured out how her needle worked. Her attacks are generally easy to dodge. Just use a bit of spatial awareness. If she's spamming down magic, run to the other side of the arena and then jump over them when they swing by you.
