^ This. TFT is obviously horribly rushed just to compete the UI is unacceptable.
Also i legit wonder what kind of meds people are on who can possibly vomit that underlords has more rng than TFT. The item system in that is... horribad.
Disclaimer: This is from someone currently playing TFT over underlords mostly for the "new car smell". I'd say Underlords is better designed overall and the devs are more comunicative wich i appreciate but TFT is very.... "highrolly" emotionally.
The item system objectively is very bad but subjectively there's a satisfaction to it when your build 100% reliant on getting 1 item comes together. (and much bloodpressure when you're camping a recurve bow for 15 rounds even having first pick on carousell and never seeing one).
I'll prolly switch back to underlords when they experiment a little more with it hopefully they add the titular "Underlords" soon-ish.
I tried autochess on my tablet and I found the interface too crap to bother with. I'm not a fan of touch gaming to begin with though.
Finally someone. It's such an obvious case of cash grab, it is exactly what it looks like: a rushed, copied concept of auto chess just to gain presence in the genre. It looks and plays like ♥♥♥♥ btw, compared to Underlords and even Auto Chess.
Money talks I guess.
Get good kid
Yeeees the strategy of "will the minions give me 0 items or 4? Will they give me chain vests or recurve bows. And don't give me the "adapt to what you're given" crap. I've had a Gnar with a Warmogs, Phantom Dancer and Frozen Hearts vs an assassin team comp and you know what happened? the rounds went to draw and i died, because his assasins would wipe my board and what was left would just wail on the Gnar. Like 3-4 units. I mean the thing was impossible to kill but either tanks deal way to little damage or "squishy" assassins isn't a thing.
It'd be one thing if the type of items was random. It'd be one thing if the NUMBER of items was random, but the items arn't even blanced against each other. Building defensive is damn near pointless.
At least the Underlords system forces you to spread out items. A Brooch / Vanguard / Skadi / Cuirass is just as nice as that Refresher / Daedalus on your backline. TFT just "encourages" you to stack attack speed + 1 damage item on 1 character and if minion waves hate you, good luck. Hell i've gone through 3 or 4 carousels looking for a Rod to go on my recurve bow and there wasn't one in the blood carousel.
Good advice brother. Wasted on the OP most likely of course.
yeah troll post getting to much attention here
But being able to practice on bots at my own pace in Underlords is what stops me from calling TFT my favorite, give me TFT bot matches and I will probably not play underlords again.
Also being more familiar with LoL helps.
