Hey, everybody. We're so sorry about the confusion.

When you hit "new game" in the menu you can obviously not continue with the same score (cause you lost), but your score should still be uploaded to the leaderboard the moment you press the button. If that isn't the case that would be a big bug I'm not aware of.

We didn't expect that running out of space would be such a common problem. You're playing too well. :D

We'll see if we can add a surrender button or something like that to make clear what to do in a situation like that.

Thanks a lot for all of your feedback and patience. :)

Same for me. I'm at 17.000, still have a market left but can't place it anywhere and now I'm scared to loose my score :(

Once you have filled up an island you just click on the next island button at the lower right. You can in theory do that once its 'full' even if you haven't run out of space or buildings, but no reason not to just rack up as much points as possible unless you are going for speedrun achievement.

Well answered from robofish126.

Do you want fun fast lots of islands?
Do you want to be on the leaderboard?

The two way of playing this game, as of now.

There's also a third way to play, which is to relax and have fun, not caring about leaderboards or rushing islands.

Apparently, the asker cannot move to the next island. They need to LOSE the game (reach Game Over), but they can't unless they place the un-place-able building.

What about the 'New Game' button in the menu? Directly below 'Continue'? .___.

As far as I can tell the game does not remember the score if you do that

No, it doesn't. But it looks like the only option for Noira. Or waiting for an "end game" button for exactly this case (and people who'd like to start fresh often). I'd consider this a bug. The ThreadStarter could just place the last building to finish (with some points lost) which isn't a "great" solution but he could leave without loosing everything.

I assume that I am overlooking something.

but if that is the case, that is a huge problem. If that happens late in the run, I would be angry as hell. I mean some runs can take 6+hours

It's not exactly a bug - it's only a small oversight to a situation that likely didn't come up in the playtesting that 3 graduates had time to perform. Not sure there was a QA team for the game, huh?

Not sure Grizzlygames were born when I was at Bullfrog :p

Cut some slack and email the game-breaker to hellogrizzlygames@gmail.com, huh?

There was something interesting mentioned: Are you able to place the building with a net loss of points? At least the game is logged when over this way.

just made it to 63,000 and have sadly ran out of buildings to place except for a market which I cannot place anywhere on the map. Will my score be saved if i hit new game?

No, it will not be saved.
I guess i will just have to wait for the developers to fix this then.

I've the same issue with a collection of very small islands with one tiny beach and a few trees on very little building space (island #7) - only on 2nd pack - I have simply copied the games save folder, so I can start another run.
Will replace it if I don't beat that score, if there is a patch to allow a "resign" feature.
