I came here looking for tips... So I'll be curious to see other answers.
Cheers
I'm slowly learning what works and what not.
Great game!, very addictive
Things to keep an eye out for are, using your wall plats over top of your mansion pile to drop your temple on.
Leaving space in you beach hops to fill in with strip parks, aswell as leaving space for your 2nd brewery and 2 resorts.
Unless you can keep them far from your huts, lumber yards almost never seem to be worth it. If you do chose to go with them, Find a large forest around a statue an stagger them so you can keep placing more sawmills on multiples later on.
Markets will get you ahead early if you can plan your warehouses and keep your city tight. The game can often give you up to 3 of these and even a 2nd one can be tough to get value out of.
Brickhouses, sand wheels, an masons. The beach away from your resort is best. Try not to pick this early unless your on a desert island you will end up with way to many sand wheels. Masons are great, save them for when you are going to drop your temple above your mansion pile. At 25 points a shot per touching the temple you can take a hit when placing them near each other.
The monument, Oh man I havent got the hang of abusing this yet, but when you run out of choices the game throws walls and parks at you. Always leave small rows in your cities to drop double sided walls in between them, walls can easily hit high 20's and wont be wasted. Keeping an area to mass parks around your mansions an then dropping your monument down can net 70 to 100 points easily.
A shaman can easily fill the bill of a city center for mansions or houses, you get 5 points instead of 6, but that won't be enough to make a difference, always have shamans in your housing to double down on each with a well placed row of houses
Monument is a new building. Check the news here, update note was posted the other day, mentioning it.
Ohhh, awesome! I took the past week off for other games, but glad to see some new content on this already! Bravo. I'll jump back in over the weekend. :)
Giers above gives some really great advice on walls and parks, and just spacing and planning ahead in general. :)
