Acting Lessons: How to Be With Rena?

The game is putting me through a never endless date with Megan. I am not interested in Megan, I would like to get an ending with Rena.

Has anyone figured out how to do so, without going on a date with Megan?.

Dates with Megan can't be completely avoided. To get Rena's route, you must pick choices with Rena that make her happy and choose to hang out with her whenever possible. In episode 6 there will be a concert and you will see Rena together with her ex-boyfriend. You must choose to comfront them. If you spent enough time with her, pick "Yes…" in the next choice. This will start her route for the rest of gameplay. If you didn't spend enough time with her, this choice won't be available. There is no way to start dating with Rena earlier than after the concert, or break up with Megan earlier. The first dates and sex scenes with Megan are unavoidable.

There is a guide for Rena's route that might help you. Though a few things are wrong in the guide. The author claims you must pick Athletic trait in the beginning, which is not true. Rena is romanceable with any of those three traits you can choose, as are all other girls. The traits make some minor differences in certain situations, but with any trait you can romance any girl. The other wrong thing in the guide is that you do not have to reject Melissa in the beginning. You can reject Melissa if you want, but even if you started dating with Melissa, it is still possible to romance Rena, as long as you spend enough time with Rena.

I have to admit it is weird how the game forces Megan onto the player. Like, really, the most boring possible choice? But I think that's a flaw on script level. With the story the game wants to tell being to embrace the safe vanilla and leave behind the temporary passion.
