Question for the Developer.
I absolutely love your game with conversations between characters and different scenarios that results from choices which is great. However, the question that revolves around my head after playing this game is if the game is already completed or will it be updated sometime in the future?

If it is completed, it is totally fine with me, love the bittersweet ending. However, if it will be updated in the future, may I make some suggestions? For example creating a happy ending with the achievement called "Happy Ever After?" and the way you can achieve this is when you find Leah stalking in your premises and you have the 1st option to shoot and kill Leah, but live with the consequences of being a murderer (your loved one/ones will understand why you did it), I mean there is already dialogue of you being a murderer when you get captured by Leah if you kill Pete. Option 2 not do anything and the events of the original game still occur. Option 3 (romancing Leah) so you turn the other cheek and the events of the original game still occur.

Acting Lessons is complete and while there could be to write about, I feel the story I wanted to tell has left my system.
If you enjoy my story telling, I'm working on a new game called Being a ♥♥♥, as Vilhena mentioned.
Currently, I only release my updates on Patreon, but it will come to Steam in the future.
Episodes 1 and 2 are available at the moment, Episode 3 will be released in August.

Not the Dev here, but following him.

Action Lessons is fully completed, theres 23 endings on it. Yes most of them a re bittersweet, but on your suggestions I see some flaws, heres what I see:

Option 1 You only find out Leah is stalking you after the fire... On her house, after seeing Megan shoes, purse and pictures on the wall.

So you would not go shoot her for nothing before that, would not fit at all with character even if you dumped her since start.

Also yes you can finish Leah after she ties you up with one girl, with the gun or knife ( depending on the ending ), or depending of choices the girl with finish Leah off, again with knife or gun , thats already in game. But yes wont stop the fire : (

Option 2 As you said, events of the game occurs, so nothing changes.

Option 3 One of the possibles endings, leaves Leah alive at the ending, even with a surprise, It´s the Little Lamb Achivement

He is now developing another game ( Being a ΔIK ), you can find a free 1st episode o his twitter or patreon.

THERES NO RELEASE DATE FOR IT HOWEVER, you can get early acess as he develops episodes from his patreon.

Will Being a ♥♥♥ be as emotional as Acting Lessons?

Yeah I'd like to know this too! All I know is I'm gonna miss not having Liam around in the new game. Best friend ever.

Being a ♥♥♥ is a little less mature, since it's about a young man experiencing college, but what drives me when making games is the story telling. So, if you enjoyed Acting Lessons, give Being a ♥♥♥ a try; the majority of players that have supported me on Patreon loves it even more than Acting Lessons even though it's only two episodes into the long journey ahead. You can try the first episode for free if you click the Twitter link on the store page and scroll to my first post.

Thanks for the reply. So no emotional attachments hopefully then.

One other question if you don't mind?

Where do you draw your inspiration from for your stories, are some from personal experiences or just pure imagination?

I've always said to myself I'd like to try and do a small novel, a kind of bucket list kind of thing.

Your game is lovely, but i think he needs a happy ending where "Jonas" can choose both girls (in my case, Megan & Melissa) being able to stopping Leah in time like, i dont know, get signs of Leah's obsession or have a little freedom in that decision. But as i said before, this game is more than sex, it's great and lovely. I didn't expect to find something like that... You did a great job :) ps: if you add a background of Melissa I would not dislike haha :lunar2019piginablanket:

I think the ending of the game fits it perfectly. It's a reminder that life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. While things do turn out for the better, others do not. It is realistic, moving, and very fitting for the end of the game.

If the game was a pure novel with no input from the reader then I don't think any questions would be asked why we cannot influence the ending to our liking more freely.

That said, would the game have such a impact if we had that freedom to change any sad outcomes? I don't think it would.

Maybe after a first play through you get to unlock a new path would of worked?

Inspiration comes from experiences from my life and movies. Got cheated on and my dad got malignant cancer. Writing about it was an incredibly powerful outlet for all kind of emotions. I've never written anything in my life prior this, but I always wished I could write a book. I don't have the skills to describe the environments and paint a vivid picture using words only, so the art helps me a lot. The words Jessie tells Jonas during therapy were the same words of comfort my dad heard in therapy to be able to cope with feelings. He used to mumble it a lot during tough times, "chemistry. it's all just chemistry."

And yes, I understand the wish for a truly happy ending, but that would defeat the point of the story and its lesson, also it would make the ending less powerful.

I had a feeling that personal experiences contributed to the story. I too had been cheated on in a previous relationship and I knew exactly how Jonas felt. Also losing a parent at a young age I related to with Melissa also, the difference being that it was my mother who passed and my father decided he didn't want me anymore. I ended up being fostered and luckily for me my foster parents loved me like I was their own. Sadly not the case for Melissa and in a way Megan's family upbringing too.

Enough rambling from me, I'd like to thank You for sharing your excellent first novel with us. Over the years I've developed a thick skin when it comes to emotions, but your story penetrated straight through it. Not sure I can do another play through though lol.

I have to say I have massive appreciation for the story you have created. I played it last night in one sitting and I could not even take a break. I think you have done an amazing job of character building in that I genuinely felt the relationships with various characters strengthened throughout the game.

I also respect the fact that it is your story to tell, and you have told one that is meaningful to you, and a great one at that...

Ending spoiler:

I suppose my only qualm was the forced choice regarding the girls. Leah showed up early on in my specific play through and I rejected her immediately and didn't see her until the end where it had become clear that she'd almost destroyed everything I loved and formed some cray cray connection to me. I had thought that given the way the story was focused on your friendship with Liam and dealing with the skeletons of Ana that there was going to be a bittersweet ending where Liam died (I mean it was looking that way). You and the two girls all overcame your past demons and went onto bigger and brighter things. I felt it would have hit hard and made the player experience a great deal about grief, loss and recovery.

That all said mate, I really think you have done a great job, and it is your story. I haven't been able to get it out of my head since finishing it last night, and it's probably not going to leave anytime soon. As such, you did your job as a creator. Well done.

I know this is an older post but I started this a week ago, and I agree that it was a total emotional rollercoaster for me. Never before has something had me in tears this much. Not only for those sad situations that occurred during the game, which as with you, mirrors some of my own past history, but also crying during the heartfelt talks with your love interest(s), especially the talk in the RV, as from Ep 2 I made up my mind to go for both girls. I was devastated again when hit with "the choice" and spent minutes not wanting to make that decision. Then spent next 2 episodes crying some more. I've done every possible ending in the last week except one (still crying) and the fact that this is your first attempt at writing, I gotta say you're amazing!! But for me, as with a lot of others in the forums, I decided that there needs to be a somewhat happy ending. I needed it for myself. So since I'm not a modder or computer savvy I decided I'd re-write the ending as I sooo wanted it to go even knowing it'll never see the light of day. I've got 80% of it fleshed out on paper already, and it would go something like this:
After phone call from Liam, instead of returning to his apartment, you'd go to the hospital and meet Liam in the same corridor where he last said goodbye. You'd have the first part of the conversation as it was written with 2 flashbacks of Liam and Edna, the second showing them laughing at another patient for their prank. When the first part of the conversation ends, you'd offer to help Liam home, and once there you'd see his apartment and have that part of the conversation as normal there. At the end, you wouldn't want Liam to be alone, so you offer to bring him home with you to the girls, only to reach the fire. You and Liam both jump out of the car, you bash in the window, Liam says he'll go around back, you enter the room and see the girls, but just before you get to "the choice", Liam bursts in from the left soot-covered and coughing. You beg for help, look down at the girls, and choose to grab Melissa or grab Megan. Liam gets the other and you both move to the front of the house. You see the front window you smashed and yell back to Liam to hurry. Screen goes dark with a crashing sound. Next image would show Liam hunched down protecting the girl he's carrying underneath him as a fiery ceiling is crashing down over his back. And end chapter. Therapy would go the same at the beginning, but the change would be when the fireman comes out the back door, he screams for help, stating "male, unresponsive, massive crush injuries and 4th degree burns, female critically injured with 2nd and 3rd degree burns" This would then open the door to continue as Limbo did, with you broken because you know your best friend in the world is dead, and one of the loves of your life may not survive either. It still has that heartbreaking aspect this game shows so well, but ultimately it keeps both girls alive and the struggles they will still have as they recover. I know it can be done, and in my mind I have two branching storylines going forward depending on which of the girls is the one most seriously injured, and I plan to spend the next few weeks writing it out and storyboarding what I think it should look like for the rest of Ep 7 and 8, as well as 2 epilogues, one of which I already wrote out in full and think is funny as hell.
So that's what I'll be doing......my homage not only to Megan, Melissa, Rena and Liam, but also to the best new game writer of my time. Good luck with ♥♥♥, and I can't wait to play it!!

I have had similar experience having been cheated on by all 3 girls I have dated. I asked you on Twitter what modeling program you used to design your characters. I am looking for a program to design a girl I would like to use for my wall paper as I don't see my self ever getting another girlfriend after the accident I was in where I lost my right arm and ability to work.

I was forced to move back to my parents at the age of 36 and really hate my life at the moment, but I guess you won't be able to tell me what program you used to make these amazing models.

The fact I am jobless means I cant even support you on Patreon or anything. Megan is also not my type, I like blue or green eyes and ginger hair, but you made her evil which was sad. I have also never dated a ginger.

But awesome stories!
