Pine

Great but frustrating difficulty...
I bougth Pine because it was said to be an open world adventure. I really loved every aspect of it during the first six hours, until I made it into the first vault, where the adventure turns into a jump and run and it's all about gamepad perfection.

The difficulty of these jump and run parts is way too hard. Or it should at least be mentioned in the game description. If I knew that it's all about gamepad acrobatics I wouldn't have bought it.

I tried the jumps in the vault a hundred times and I must give up. So sad to leave Hue...

Mountain and grass vault doesn’t need acrobatic skills.

I went into the tower vault hours ago. I reached the top, but I'm still not able to to find my way out.
The fight system was a bit hard and frustrating for me at first, but these vault is just ridicoluos.

The observatory is the hardest vault but I wouldn't say it has any jumping puzzles in it.

So true... Tried to love the game... First i struggled with the combat-system, hours later i got it (almost) and than comes this super-frustrating observatory. After about 100+ failed jumps (most of them because of bad camera angles) i got up there where you find the telescope but - damned i got absolutely no clue what to do (again) to get out of there. :-/

I think that the fact that dodge is tied with sprint adds to the combat difficulty especially us K&M users!

My problem with jumps is the perfect timing of the jump and forward button, when playing with mouse and keyboard. A little too early and jump too high and not far enough, a little too late and I don't jump at all and just walk off the platform. When playing with gamepad the jump forward seems easier but it's very hard to correct the direction with the thumbstick...

IMO an open world adventure game should always have different ways to fulfill a quest. If one way is a set of difficult jumps, there should be another way maybe by fighting. But when I read that the game consists of multiple jumping puzzles, that must be solved to proceed, then its description as adventure is quite misleading.

It's fine but the puzzles are a bit underwhelming and unintuitive at times. The problem with platforming comes from three things. First one being the awkward movement that seems to be the standard today with games that support controllers; ie trying to turn around on a platform can cause you to walk off of it. Two being the camera which gets confused at time facing awkward directions. And lasstly the worst of it is the constant garbage collection lag spikes that can cause all kinds of bizarre camera and movement glitches; it is possible to work with using a high end rig but I imagine it makes platforming unbearable for many.

Yeah, that jumping stuff makes me angry as hell! After spending two more hours in that f***ing observatory i watched a walkthrough. Now give up completely because it just sucks.

100% this for me too. Let's hope both combat and these jumping/puzzle issues get addressed in future updates.

Have only hard time with the fox race quest, seems impossible to win in time. In vault's you learn to take your time with jumping because of the chopping jump controls.

Looks like this one isn't for me. Jumping puzzle gaming? No thanks.

Honestly there not even true jumping puzzles. They are pretty basic and a good portion of them with decent maneuvering can be skipped from beginning to the end. Guild War 2 had some !@#$ of a puzzle. These are just simple.

It's an annoying quest. I used a jump potion instead of the speed potion.

I almost done it now also with a jump potion and lowered my mouse sensitive, going try it again later tonight then I'm finished with all quests I think. Then it's time to conquer the Island with the fox, we have already 11 tier 2 (B) bases and like to see them to upgrade them to A ;)
