It never told me to search for it either, it just said it would be traded between factions
I'm wonder if this has anything to do with what species you align with to get to the first vault.
The devs have stated that that can alter what one sees in game. Since there is some procedural generation for starting locations for the species, I wonder if who has an "idea" first also changes.
The items should spawn inside of the first floor of the house, when the quest is advancing from `Use Iam's elevator to get off the Unstable Cliffs` to `Visit the Tamba house`.
If you die or quit the game, and it/you load(s) a save, where the `Visit the Tamba house` is already activated, they might not spawn again in the house. You will miss these items then. Note: these items are not story related, you don't need them to finish the game, so there's no safe-guard for them.
With the idea you can craft additional Treaties.
They work like any other item that you can donote or trade with the species, just that they offer a HUGE amount of affinity points at once.
