Tips for Playing on PC

Does anybody have any tips for getting this game to play properly on a PC?
I've tried many different settings and none work. The game is impossible to play on my Windows 10 PC. Hot spots show up and then disappear making it frustrating to solve puzzles and find items. What a piece of garbage.

Not sure why you are having issues--I just started playing (on my Windows 10 PC laptop) and it seems to be working fine. Just made it to Chap. 2. I hope you can figure it out!

The game play is very choppy. Movement is fairly smooth, but the mouse cursor is erratic and bounces around making it very difficult to find the hot spots. I've tried increasing and decreasing mouse sensitivity with no change.
I feel like I've wasted $20, but I'll keep trying.

I had the same issue with the mouse. I tried playing full screen, window screen, with different accessibility settings, restarting the game several times. I found the mouse detection icons would disappear, would not interact with objects, and had to try to move to different locations and different angles to get them to work. I played with a walk-through for a bit just to see if I was just not understanding the puzzles or overlooking items. I found I was trying the right things but the mouse was just not detecting the actions.

I've been having the same issue. I wish they would make the hit boxes bigger or something because it is making the game so frustrating when i am trying to start a puzzle, let alone solve it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a patch

Yeah, same issue here. Hot spots appears as white dots, and sometimes as the eye or magnifier icon, and then disappear. Even when I centre the screen on where the icon was, there's nothing there any more. I've tried approaching the same object from different angles and directions. Sometimes the white dot appears again, but rarely do I get the proper interaction icon, and so I'm finding Call Of The Sea very frustrating, and practically unplayable.

Shame, the concept and artwork is excellent, and I think I'd really enjoy the story, if I could actually progress it!

Are the Developers even reading these comments? I posted the same issues along with others a long time ago. This is a widespread problem and they don't seem to be doing anything about it. I have not played the game in ages because it is basically unplayable and have been hoping for some kind of patch... nothing. It's a shame, has the potential to be a very good game.

I've been waiting for months for the interaction issue for Windows 10 PC to be fixed. I just came on to see if it was fixed. Apparently not. Very frustrating. I couldn't get a refund because I played for over 2 hours but really I was just trying to figure out how to get the game to work. I could only interact with maybe 2 things on the beach.

Just for the record - I'm having just the same issues, came to discussions to see, if there is any help or suggestions how to deal with frustrating interaction playing on PC, because as it stands now it really ain't no fun to beg the game to allow interact with puzzles, when you already know the solution.

I can't seem to even make the mouse to work at all. In the menu it works just fine. But as soon as the game starts it does even change the view. How is it possible to have good reviews and such a huge flaw? I am also playing on windows 10.

Just fyi: I'm playing with a mouse and Windows 10 no problem (the puzzles give me fits though). I hope you can find a solution...

I too have been having issues. Emailed them twice and no reply. I have everything done for the first chapter I need to do according to the walk-throughs I've watched and it's not allowing me to solve the totem to cross the bridge. Very frustrating!

I just started and am so frustrated that the mouse can't interact with objects. I am playing on a laptop with Windows 10. Just about to give up. I have tried all recommended adjustments with no resolution.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the game on Win 10. I was playing it on 8.1 with no problems, just got a new pc and I am playing it on Win 10 with no problems. And I use K/M.

I have the same problem. I use Windows 10 on a laptop and can confirm that the hot spots don't work. They appear briefly and then disappear, they don't appear in the first place, or only appear in certain locations (that usually don't make ANY sense). I've tried changing settings, controls, accessibility options, no dice. I managed (mostly with a walkthrough) to collect all the clues to move on to the second chapter, but the game won't let me interact with the totem pole by the bridge, so I had to give up. I bought the game yesterday and I had been waiting to play it for a while, so I am incredibly frustrated, and honestly, quite angry.
