So. Do enemy scale down to my level or only scale up?
It's not an easy thing to balance XP in a game with so many optional side-quests. The challenge has been okay and I've died a few times. The main problem is how OP some of the weapons are. I got a random green or blue longbow drop that's doing insane amounts of damage. I also have necklace with +1 to all Finesse skills and that boosts my damage even more. Using my Faeblade enemies take longer to die, but with my bow i tear them down pretty quickly. My critical chance and critical damage are also stupidly high.
maybe that info is still accurate on easy and normal, but just as good a chance it's not anymore.
on very hard i didn't start seeing non-orange enemies in Dalentarth until lvl 20.
No one said that the level ranges are for the current game. Those are the default level ranges that the game has and the very hard difficulty still takes those ranges into account when calculating the level of the enemies, so they are still very much relevant.
From Zyddie's post on the thread about the Special Delivery Chest, I don't think the area level ranges have changed, and difficulty does add a slight modifier, I think it's +3 for Very Hard, +2 for Hard and -2 for Easy.
It seems best way to not reach lv 40 real soon is to choose lower difficulty. You are more quick to reach area lv cap, but it take longer to reach lv 40.
well let's hope you are very wrong on that because if detyre and plains of erathil don't scale to max level im going to be real bored in a dozen hours orso.
yes that's how i think it works, mobs are -2 to +3 player level, unless limited by the zone cap. which means if i see a non orange mob in the sidhe at lvl 21 on very hard, the zone must scale to lvl 18, not lvl 14 as the image suggested.
Yes that is how it would work. But how would you know the base level in order to add the +3 for very hard difficulty? You would need the level ranges that are provided by the map I linked. That was the whole point of linking that map.
no.
if the map was accurate, mobs in the sidhe could not be higher than lvl 17. but (on very hard) they go to around 20-22.

I think by the time I reach Haxhi and Glendara, I'm already at lv cap at normal for Dalentarth maps. It actually feel exactly the same as the original Reckoning.
I don't even use fateshift beside bosses or other exp raising items.
Are they really reducing the exp or actually just add difficulty and changed exp cap range for maps?
