Please fix HUD scale
HUD scale is horrible. Default is much bigger than it was in original game, and choosing small option is far too small. Invisible is not an option for me... I cannot belive you failed in this! You only had to keep the defaul HUD size of the original. Why did you make it bigger?? Even the navigation menu fonts looks bigger than in original... This is a big issue. HUD is very important for game experience.

I tried all options, and nothing change. Seriously, this is a big issue for me. I have been comparing the Hud with the original with screenshots and definitively the Hud scale is far too big for default option. Maybe someone would like to have an specific "big" hud option, but the default should be something in between the current default and the small option.

It is something that has been suggested a lot and will for sure be discussed.

Thanks Zyddie. I was about to return the game just for this... I will not. But please, fix this hud scale. It is just go back to the original default scale. you can check comparing screenshots.. It was perfect size imo.

pdt. I am playing in 1080 resolution. Maybe it change and looks better with 4k monitors and resolution..

Totally agree with this, when I saw the so-called "Default" I immediately went into the options and changed the HUD option to "Small" but then I just couldn't believe the insanely small scale! I had to switch back to the "Default" because the "Small" was just way too small. The HUD scale of the original was fine, I cannot understand why anyone would think that changing that to provide two options, one larger than the original and one tiny version of the original, was a good idea!

I really have some serious doubts about the intelligence of the people who worked on this version, bad choices made in the design, leaving old bugs in the game and introducing new bugs! Not impressed with this version of the game at all, THQ would have been way better off if they had just released the game exactly as it was, without any of the so-called "improvements" they've made!

Agreed default is too huge and small so small you can barely see the Minimap... So something in between for 1080p would be optimal. Default feels like its designed for 720P and Small for 4K but nothing in between.

Buff bar is a mess as well. I just reached Ysa and after activating all the shrines noticed some of them were clipping over the positioning of the minimap with the default settings. Change to small however and whilst the minimap and hp/mana bars stay in the corners the buffs are left floating in the middle of the screen.

100% agree on the default hud scaling. You can tell it is too large because you can see the top of the controller button prompts have been cropped out. Also in the menus characters with accents like y and g have also been cropped. The scaling needs to be fixed.

Hi Zyddie,

Could you please confirm if this HUD scale issue will be fixed in any of the incoming updates? Thanks in advance

I would like to offer my own experience regarding HUD in re-reckoning :

Default : Everything feels a bit oversized but least I can see things clearly. When I get a lot of buffs, the icons on the right hand side starts stacking.... and makes the screen looking messy. Overall I can tolerate this option.

Small : I sense this is kind of joke because you will need a magnifying glass to see everything. I can accept everything being too small (which in one way gives more space for the beautiful world) but not the mini-map. Please at least make the mini-map size reasonable.

Hidden : This is good for screen shot and experiencing the world. BUT you need to go through all the menu and click the option to get to this mode ! I would sincerely ask for a Key - mapping just for toggling the HUD on/off. I believe many people will love this for screen shooting.

I appreciate all the fixing and patching work done by the new developers regardless big or small. Particularly I have no idea about their condition so I would not judge anything. But it really doesn't make sense for HUD to be in this "black and white" scenario. I mean between 0% and 100% there's a spectrum in between, isn't it intuitive for the user to configure the proper scale themselves?

And what is more absurd, if you compare with original game, original has exactly the perfect HUD scale... They changed the scale when it was already correct (I think that they rescaled the Hud thinking in console (TV size), no in Pc gamers with 21" and 1080p monitors).

So the point is that the right size already did exist in the original game, it should not be difficult to make that size as the default, and add a couple of options more, large and small, for the current sizes.

And other thing is, when you change it to small, only resize smaller the status bar and the minimap, the rest of the floating texts (quest for example) are still big! so it makes the feeling even weirder...

It is very annoying for me. I cannot understand how people can play this remaster with this HUD size. It is mental. I will not play the game till they fix it.

I've been delaying my playthrough as well based on the HUD size alone, but watching the bug reports it seems like delaying is the right thing to do.

A HUD scale slider would probably be the ideal solution if that could be implemented. But, just to give my own opinion on this, on a 27" screen at 1440p the small option is absolutely perfect size for me personally. It opens up the screen to way more of the world while I can still see everything I need to see in the HUD. The default instead is ridiculously large and hogs way too much screen estate.

Please return the hud scaling from the original. In the remaster all menus look too huge with any graphics settings ...

Unfortunately it's still not fixed, I'm trying to change it via a mod but I don't know the correct constant
