Unbind 'Q' to Switch Weapons?

I want to use Q to shield and shield only. Is there anything I can do to unbind it from switching weapons? Or is there a way to bind Mouse 3 (mouse wheel click) to be shield at least because it doesn't even want to recognize that as an input.

Unfortunately no. When you shield it will also swap your weapon. I tried binding shield to a side mouse button and it just raises the shield momentarily over and over and over when pressed. I had to use AutoHotkey to work around it.

Yeah, AutoHotkey or Mouse/Keyboard-Software is the only reliable way to change the controlls. Using the ingame menu can lead to some bugs
