Is Fatesworn DLC worth it?
I love the base game and can't get more of it so is Fatesworn DLC cool? Or is it just extra dungeons to crawl?

Nope, only thing I can say is that the main villain for the dlc defeats the whole main game plot of being fateless. Not having a determined fate or destiny only to have a villain say lol no, and have the protagonist leave the region. Which somehow fixes things from being unstable?

That doesn't make any sense...
in the base game you free everyone from the shackles of fate. the fate weavers are no more. in the dlc you restore it supposedly i never was able to finish doe xD

Yikes explained it a bit better, which is why most don't like the expansion as it makes the whole main plot pointless.

that being said it is a known fact the dlc was made by some of the writers of the base game. to some extent it was an intentional decision

Having finally played most of the DLC I can now offer an opinion.

Pros: The level design is amazing. Fantastic new areas, lots of quests and other stuff to do, basically more of KoA, so if you love the game, you will love the DLC at least to some extent.

Cons: the writing isn't great, kind of feels like a Skyrim story mod on the writing front
too many fetch quests (i levelled 2 levels in one go just from collecting stuff for one guy and I hadn't even killed very many of the things that drop them)
The pacing is off and requires you to have played it before or to engage in meta gaming in order for it not to get grindy at the end. stick to the main quest, then do side quests later once you get to the grindy part of the main questline so you still have other stuff to do
Half-baked new chaos magic feature which feels like a pain in the rear at the DLC is too short for it. It should have been added into the base-game or they should have thought of something else. It seems skewed against magic users too, as magic is useless as long as the enemies have their shields up. There's also a "feature" suggesting you trash and reforge your weapons all the time, which unless you've been hardcore trashing everything on the forge and farming mats in Dead Kell and hoarding them, you cannot do.
There are also really cool locations that are under used. It feels like they wanted to add more content and ran out of time/resources. Had they added the extra content, sevral of my points above might well have been moot.
