Blacksmithing, how to add gems during crafting?
I have maxed out my blacksmithing skill and wanted to craft a really good weapon, so i put all the parts together and after the final part instead of adding the gem, there was a preview window. Why cant i add gems during creation? is there only a specific type of gem that can be added? the gem i have is a weapon-type gem
i tried googling about this, but there are literally no info anywhere about how you do this, just that its possible

i think there is a couple of weapon types that don't use gems. chakrams are one i think. if you go into the crafting menu and start building the weapon or item with the item base and then grip/lining/etc. and you can't add a gem at the end. then don't think you can add one to that item

UPDATE - check this page

chakrams, sceptres and staves can't hold weapon gems
the wiki is generally the best place for info. or join the re-reckoning discord.

Do you have the correct gems? Certain gems can only go into certain items. For weapons, you can only use a weapon or utility gem.

So, was it a staff, scepter or chakram you were trying to add a gem too? Would be nice if you enlightened us as to what was going on.
It was a chakram i was trying to add a gem to in the creation process, and apart from the small sentence on the gem page he linked, there was no info anywhere else (that i could find) that those specific weapon types couldnt have a gem added to them during the creation process
